I was wondering if someone could tell me about Mission Space. I currently just had back surgery and was wondering how rough is Mission Space on your back. I really want to ride this ride and was wondering if this ride turns you upside down or jerks really bad. I will be traveling to Disney in April of 2004 for my birthday and still wanna have fun but I'm currently trying to determine which rides would be a good idea and which rides would be a bad idea. Any help from the group would be really appreciated. :veryconfu

P.S. I really dont care if you explain what happens during the ride because I would like to really know anyway. So please spill your guts !! :animwink: BTW I am also a fat guy.

The G-forces may play some havoc on you, especially if you've had surgery recently!

Other than that, this has got to be THE best simulator the public can go on, period!

I personally can not stand simulator rides (sorry guys!... just don't care for them) cause like you said...too jerky.

...This thing? As close as we'll ever get to space flight ourselves!

One word!.......SMOOOOTH!

The G-Forces arent strong enough to really do anything, youll feel them but unless you have something heave on (Leather jacket for example), you wont have much problem.

And no, you dont get turned upside down. The closest(sp?) youll get to being upside down is during the launch when your training moves into position (Basically, your back is parallel to the floor).

But doing this in April, you should've have any trouble, but it depends on the type of surgery you had.

I would have to agree that this is one of the smoothest simulators I've been on (ok...THE smoothest)

The only thing that I would be concerned about is if you get motion sickness...other than that you should be fine.

Just to back up what has been said – this ride is smooth with a capital Smoo.

If you can stand someone pushing firmly (but not too heavily) on your chest then you should be ok. There are a few swoops in it, but no jolts.
