I just got this in the mail, yesterday:

(and I quote)

Dear Brian,

Congratulations! You have been selected to participate on an Operations role on the Walt Disny World College Program in the fall 2004 season. This is a great opportunity for all students, and we are happy to be able to offer this opportunity to you! (etc, etc)...
We look forward to the magic you will bring to the Walt Disney World resort and are thrilled for the opportunity to have you join our Disney family! We're sure it is a journey that will change you!

Sincerely,

Kathy Rinkacs

Self Torture? Perhaps, but then I've worked a lot of jobs dealing with crazy members of the public. You think disney world is tough? Try working at a late-nite video store...jk, jk jk (x100)

I know it's going to be pretty hard in some ways :hammer:, but I've been to WDW a lot of times ever since I was 1 yr. old (I'd say the number is somewhere in the mid to upper 20s), and nothing on earth could change my love for the place, not even "Extreme Park Center of Tomorrow". And plus it's going to be fun in many other ways, and it's not like it's a life-long contract. Only a coupla months.

Thanks for the congrats.

I go to main campus, btw - I did the whole branch campus thing for two years (ALTOONA :hurl: ) and hated it. You need to understand that I'm not from PA though :D

Oh yeah, I forgot: I think my ultimate job would be Living with the Land. It's so tranquil...I just can't describe it, but I love that ride, and the last time I was there, all I could think of was how great it would be to narrate. Jungle Cruise and tGMR appeals to me too - anything where I can act in front of a large # of people :king:

Get ready for the experience of a lifetime, Brian! People from all over the eastern/midwestern USA, plus the nations represented in EPCOT (Center) pavilions all living and working together for one reason - to Party!! - um, I mean to LEARN the DISNEY WAY of serving guests while working the park hours nobody in their right mind will work!

Have yourself a magical blast! :sohappy:

I'm so excited for you! :D It's so exciting to do the college program! I loved both of the programs I did. I'm sad now because I'm out of college and can't have that experience unless I move down there! I just did my last program in Spring of 2003 as a character greeter! Enjoy yourself! Take LOTS of film and you will make memories to last a lifetime!
