Some help would be appreciated.

Here's the deal, I'm graduating this year. I'm trying to plan a trip for myself & 4 of my friends. 3 of us will be over the age of 18 (if that means anything)
We want to go for a week. From about June 15th-21st
I'm thinking 6 nights at AOA or POP, dining plan perhaps, but we pay for our park tickets on a day to day basis (I already have an AP, I don't wanna pay for tickets that I've already paid for)
I'm just trying to figure out what would be cheapest, we'd like to be all in one room.
Any suggestions??

I think it would probably be cheaper to just go with a package if you want the dining plan, the tickets and the hotel for 4 guests. I don't think if you do a package some of the members can sit out of tickets or the dining plan. You could say there are only 3 in the room, but then one of you wouldn't be able to be included on the dining plan. If you're really trying to pinch pennies you might want to consider the all star resorts...I find they are usually cheaper than AOA/POP... Also the Quick Service Dining plan is considerable cheaper... but there are no sit downs.

If you buy a ticket each day, you pay over $100 each day and you have to stand in line for it. There is a discount if you buy all the days at once. Buying tickets early saves you the time standing in line and will protect you from price increases. :)

Stop at a grocery store and buy food you can eat in the room. Disney food is ridiculously expensive and it isn't all that good.

Don't put down a deposit until everyone has given you their share of the deposit.

Thank you for that...that's something I am always afraid to mention around here for fear of getting my head chewed off.

Wouldn't an AP discounted room be cheaper than getting on some dining plan? Also, buy a TIW card and ask everyone to chip in for it. That's a guarantee 20% off food IF you wanted to eat in the parks. If staying on property isn't a MUST- try something like Embassy Suites- the rooms are HUGE and have a microwave and a mini fridge :)

If want to do the dining plan everyone could get a one day ticket, then once you get to WDW each who needed more days could turn those tickets in and use that credit and pay the difference on the multi-day tickets that cover your trip.

I know you don't mind having more people in your room, and I'm sorry to have to say it, but please be aware that the max occupancy of regular rooms at all the Value resorts is 4 people (age 3 and older). Something to also be aware of is that there is a per-night extra-adult charge for each guest after the first 2, over the age of 17 (I think it's 17, not 18).
[Sorry if that didn't make any sense at all - I'll try again. No extra charge for adult guests 1&2, but extra charge for adult guests 3&4. Hope that makes more sense.]

Since you have an AP, I agree with the idea suggested earlier about checking for AP room rates, that could certainly save you some money. Since you have an AP and don't need tickets, you could just book your room, then when you check in, the others could purchase their tickets for the # of days they need (and ask the Cast Member to add them to their key card....along with your dining plan credits - if you get one). I totally agree that buying a ticket each day will cost your friends considerably more, since the price for add'l ticket days decreases as you add more days.
And, you can get some discount on some food/meals with your AP.
Here is a list of dining locations and what meals are included
http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/disney-dining-discounts-for-wdw-annual-passholders/
(please note: the majority of them are Table Service)

The Tables in Wonderland (TIW) card idea could be good too, but there is a list of locations that take it, so it would be worthwhile to make sure the locations you want are on it....and you can also check out menus/food costs to see if splitting the cost of the TIW card will be worth it.
Here is cost info and a list of locations that take TIW

Your trip sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you are able to work out all the details and that you and your friends have a Wonderful Magical time!!! :)

I want to add that 3 years ago, we were not charged for an extra 3rd and 4th person at POFQ. Not sure if that has changed or not.

If you're looking for cheap book at the All-Stars.. because your an AP holder there may be some sort of a discount on the rooms. AOA doesn't give AP discounts yet because it's still such a new resort. The All-Stars offer larger rooms that accomodate 5 people.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/all-star-music-resort/rates-rooms/

This way you can all be together, get the dining plan if it's included and benefit from EMH's since all your names can be on the reservation. Most suites range about $250.00 per night before the discount. You don't have to get the park passes threw disney either but I recommend it. :)

Book a room at Pop use AP discount, don't get the dining plan (unless it is free, it doesn't save you money anymore), just book a few must do ADRS and quick service the rest of the time. Have your friends buy their tickets online from disney or a licensed reseller. Enjoy your trip!

Like it was said remember you can only have 4 adults in a room at Pop so you would need two rooms. The music resort has rooms that will allow 5. AOA also has suites that allow more than 4 but cost more. You could do a package with the DDP for all of you and just buy a 1 or two day ticket to get it. When you get there just have your friends add on the rest of the days they need when they arrive. You can save your ticket and use it to upgrade to an AP when you are ready to renew.

As others have said, if you are really looking to go on the cheap, the offsite will be the way to go. However because of your ages you will not be able to rent a car. So unless you have a car and can drive there, that would be a problem. Also, if you are off site and one group wants to go to WDW and the other wants to hang out at the pool and meet up later, unless you have multiple cars, then you are out of luck.

So, if you do decide to stay on site, then you need to look at a room that sleeps five. (or two rooms - but one is going to be cheaper)

You have two options when it comes to the room.

1) Get it with your AP at the AP rate, and then have everyone buy park tickets on their own, and pay for meals out of pocket (and if possible bring some of your own food, especially if you are driving)

2) Get the room as part of a package with the dining plan. As was said, you do not need to get tickets for the length of stay. You can just get one day tickets for everyone. You can then hang onto your ticket and use it for when you want to renew your AP, your friends will then take their one day tickets and pay at a guest services window to have them upgraded to multi-day passes.

You will have to sit down and price out both ways and see what comes out cheaper.
