Hey everybody!

I read the responses to my other, thanks.

I'm feeling somewhat better but still not up to par.

I stayed at Pop Century, very colorful, very lively and friendly. We were in the 90's building by the computer pool but I liked swimming in and hanging out at the Hippy Dippy Pool. I liked all the palm trees there and the Petals bar and having the food court near by to refill my mug, what a great deal THERE! Just had to hang out at the bar there and have a pina colada day of arrival. Before I even saw Downtown Disney Marketplace later on that night or any of the theme parks throughout the week, I already had the Disney bug!

I tell you people, I'm a natural worry wart, excluding Disney. I go on vacation and worry and call home to hear my answering machine to make sure my house hasn't burned down and I miss my conure Tiffany terribly. When I went home to NY for a whopping 10 days in 2000, I was panic stricken so far from home (Nashville) crying about Tiffany, calling home to hear my answering machine a couple times a day. Not this time. Not at all. My heart was light and FREE. At Disney I left STUFF and worries all behind me, that's part of the magic. That it could totally strip me of my anxieties was soooooo amazing to me!

I don't want to make this too long, but for now let me tell you a few of the things I especially enjoyed. I LOVED Mickey's Philharmagic! WOW! Wishes at Cinderella castle. Nashville's fireworks are better but nothing's as magical as at the castle. Jammin Jungle Parade. Pirates of the Caribbean. Way cool. Kilamanjaro Safari and Africa itself. Most of World Showcase, especially Morrocco and France. My boyfriend David rode the rides at the parks, the popular and fast ones, while I waited. I told people here once before I'm not a ride person and don't DO rides and I don't think anyone can understand how extreme that is. Put it this way. Tomorrowland Transit is my speed .... and blush, I got scared and hung on for dear life on the carousel. David did the mts., the rapids, Aerosmith rock and roller coaster. Fiercest I did was Star Tours. I came close to losing it but kept saying to myself "It's not real, it's not real, it's not real." Once that fact registered I actually had fun.

Oh oh and I just can't wait for this. We did all the clubs at Pleasure Island, if but for a bit to enter a club and world we otherwise might not in real life. We started at 8 Trax and I saw all these women my age listening to the party music from "our" time (I'm almost 50), hanging over the railing staring down at the dance floor and their bodies were moving and not a single person was dancing. I was like what gives, they obviously want to dance, why aren't they? Then it dawned on me that maybe they needed to feel permission to, so I thought, I've gotta give women my age permission to get out on the dance floor. I'm a wallflower type person, believe me, but Disney did something to me. So I grabbed David's hand, "C'mon, let's dance." So we danced a dance, went to the bar for a drink and when we returned to the dance floor, my God, there were 30 or 40 people out there! And a lot of them were the women my age! Way cool!

At the hip hop rap type place there were these 4 young people that got out on the dance floor to do some group type dance. Next ya know there's my David with his Mickey ears out there with them! Did pretty good too. David HAS rythym. (He's 13 years younger than me). Then well, we do all the clubs, enjoyed the jazz one too and the comfort and ambiance of the place, went out and caught the New Year's Eve party and finished off our night at 8 trax. I have to tell you that in the past 10 years thereabouts I have only had energy for like 2 or 3 dances and then I'm pooped. David has always wished I had more energy cause he LOVES to dance.

Well people, I wore him out! We stayed on the dance floor and I danced without stopping for an HOUR! David got where he was just standing there not moving looking at me in amazement. Finally he says "Aren't you tired yet?" "No," I said "I'm 25 again." And I really felt it people, I really felt it through and through, I felt time warped somehow. I felt the exuberance of youth, that lightness of heart! David says "Well I'm tired and want to go." I said "Leave me alone, I'm 25 again and don't want that to end." But of course it was close to closing time anyway so......

Hooked on Disney? You better believe it. I've already written "Notes for next time" at Disney, in my travel journal! Yeah right, I was only going to visit Disney ONE time, ha! :) Oh btw, does anybody here serioulsy LIKE Beverly Slurp? !
