Due to a business trip, I'm planning on a marathon 8AM -Midnight (per posted hrs. for that day) on Sun. 5/27.

Help is appreciated. I haven't been there since 1985.

1) How early can I get my car parked?

2) What time can I get in? Is Main St. open at 7:30 (1/2 hr. before)?

I'm of the opinion that as I'll be by myself, I should be able to get everything in for both parks.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I may do a two day park hopper, since I don't need to leave until 3PM for Burbank airport on Monday. Park hours start at 9AM for Monday. hmmmmm...

The parking garage opens 1 hour before opening, if my memory is correct. The opening varies, but on a busy day, they should let you on to Main Street 30 minutes before.
If you fully utilize fastpass, you may make it through the whole thing, although a few hours the next day would relax things a little more.
If you want to sit for lunch and be entertained, catch a Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show. It's counter service food while you watch a great show!

Have fun!!:)

I would recommend the 2-day park hopper. You should have no problem at all seeing everything in two days. Wow, if you haven't been since 1985 then you will be astonished at all the new stuff that has been added since then. I think the two most impressive things that have been added in that time are Splash Mountain and Indiana Jones. Star Tours is great too. It was added in 1987. Most people tend to feel the technology is dated now, but I still think it's a great attraction. Unfortunately, Captain Eo came and went in the time since you were last there  , but Honey I Shrunk the Audience is better anyway. You'll be blown away by how much better Space Mountain is now.

California Adventure has some good aspects to it, but it's a half day park at best. Soarin', Tower of Terror, California Screaming and Aladdin are the must-sees. Everything else is so-so. So if you spend half a day at California Adventure and 1 and a half days at Disneyland, you should be able to see everything.

The really cool thing about going by yourself is that it's amazing the things you notice that you don't notice when you're with people. You really notice a lot of the small details even more. It's cool!

Have a great time!

Wow, no DCA bashing, I'm impressed. :)

Haven't been since 1985? Holy cow. Well, like the others have said, a lot has changed (good changes not bad).

You're going over Memorial weekend, prepare for crowds!! It's madness when there are a lot of people. However, you are going alone so that makes things easier.

I think everyone else has covered it. Have a great trip!

Is Pres. Lincoln still there?
"Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln"
I know the Walt Disney Story is there, but is Mr. Lincoln still up and running, I hope?

If anyone wants to meet, even if for a little bit or for lunch, let me know via PM.

It is not there anymore, sorry. :(
I've always wanted to meet up with some people from the boards, but I'm blocked out and out of town. :(
