Disney Cruise Line is now offering guests complimentary sodas on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder!

Sodas are available at the 24-hour beverage station on Deck 9 Aft and during meal hours at Topsider Buffet/Beach Blanket Buffet. Complimentary sodas will also be available on Castaway Cay at Cookie's Bar-B-Q and the adult-only beach, Serenity Bay.

Sodas will remain complimentary in full-service dining rooms.

PS - There is no Disney Cruise Line section on WDWMagic! I thought this would be the best place to put this post!!

I guess that means the end of the MUG Program then???

Seeing as there was so much free soda available on the ship anyway, the place it will really help is on Castaway Cay, where you could only get it during lunch.

Interesting.....

I've never cruised on any ship, but years ago (I can't believe I'm using that phrase!) the big selling point for cruises was that they were all-inclusive. You paid your big bucks, then never needed money again until you got home.

More and more it seems like cruisers are beign nickel-and-dimed to death. $10 more for this dinner, no complimentary liquor OR soda, everyone's hand out for a tip, etc.

I think this is a good move--it probably doesn't cost that much, and people will perceive it as a good value. (kinda reminds me of Roller Coaster Tycoon--people are saying that Disney Cruise Lines are a good value!!)

I always thought that was the funniest bulleten. "people are commenting that your enterance fee is very cheap, perhaps you should raise it" Hmmm....I wonder what Eisner practices with?

So is the Disney cruise line all inclusive? Like when you go to dinner can you order anything on the menu? Also, are the "fun" things to do such as the shows, movies, games, etc free, or do you have to pay for them.

I've tried searching the cruise line website but they really don't have much information.

Sorry for the thread drift, but I've never read anything about the cruise on these forums and I'd love to learn more.

It still burns me that the parks don't offer SOBE, Snapple, Arizona or Mistic.

Soda is almost as overated as Grizz's inside info

For the most part the cruise is all-inclusive. You can definitely order anything on the menu--even more than one of things. Movies, shows, tours, etc. are all free too. There are some things you have to pay for though--alcohol and bingo are the two that come to mind. Of course you also have to pay for any excursions you do at ports.

That sounds really good. I wonder if other cruise lines will follow....I'm tired of shelling out cash for a "soda card" on every cruise I go on.

**goes back to begging parents (who won't go on a Disney cruise because they think there isn't enough for adults to do) to take a trip on DCL**

Oh awesome! Maybe I'll see ya there. Yea, Hersheypark rocks because of roller coasters and chocolate everywhere, but you just can't compare it to Disney! :D

Which day will you be there? The 26th? I heard there's an Aerosmith concert that day :D Woohoo haha.

One of my biggest complaints about the cruises I've been on is the lack of free soda. I HATE iced tea and usually the soda is like $2.50 a can. My soda drinking is amplified because usually you are eating or playing around so naturally you tend to drink more. The worst is the beer, I can drink a lot of beer and $3-$4.50 each adds up real fast. We usually end up buying a bottle from one of the islands or home countries and making our own mixed drinks while in our room. The free soda thing is a pretty big deal in my book.

Nope, the 27th and 28th. I saw that they were having an Aerosmith concert too, and my sister is a little annoyed that we won't be there then.
Can't wait to ride Storm Runner!
