It isn't that intense, just it is 40 feet up depending which row you are in.

The DCA version of the attraction has a height restriction of 40". So I am going to assume that the WDW version will be the same. I don't think it is for the thrill factor of the attraction as much as the safety restrain sytstem. I also think that the illusion the ride brings out could frighten a younger child under that height.
