Soarin' overhead photo

Actually I agree with Disney Fan. It seems the Queue and return will be a pretty good walk, even with the new building as close as it is. In relation to the Dome on the Land, it looks far away.

the walk from the entrance of Soarin' Over California at DCA to the actual show building is just as long, if not longer. out there, they built the building a couple stories into the ground as to not have it tower over everything else in the area. a long walk down was needed to reach the floor level of the building. however, in order to accommodate for disabled access, the grade in the downward-sloping walkway ramp had to be very small and thus the walkway became very long. the walkway didnt necessarily need to be as long as it was, but it ended up that way in order to obey building code.

perhaps a similar thing is going on in orlando.

I am glad to see them providing a good sized potential queue area. Remember this is a 2000 person per hour attraction. It is going to need a good amount of space to handle those crowds. The last thing we want is to be queuing inside the food court in the Land. All good Etickets have an extensive (and hopefully) well themed queue, it all adds to the experience. I would would much rather walk through a long spacious queue, than be stuck in a cattle grid just so the distance can be shorter. :)

I hope the queue is better (both in theming and ambiance) than Soarin's in DL...

BTW...looking at the picture I have to ask...how many "theaters" are there going to be? One or two? Cause from the picture atleast it looks a bit small for two theaters...

And how certain are we that Soarin will indeed connect with The Land?

The overhead shot is great!!!! I was there this weekend and saw the steel frame from different areas around Epcot...but nothing beats a good overhead shot.

Two theatres, just like DCA.
The theatres are large, but not HUGE.

The fact that it's going into The Land is no secret.
It's even mentioned in the official announcement.
