7 April 2005: Soarin' previews status

Yesterday was the last day for general guest previews for quite some time. The next few days will be cast previews and no guests will be in the building, only cast. Then Soarin will be completely blacked out for a couple of days to integrate Soarin into the rest of the Land pavilion, and after that is Annual Pass previews.

Since they're doing a complete blackout in order to integrate it into the remainder of the pavillion... I wonder if that means that MAYBE AP holders will get to go through the pavillion to experience the attraction. Probably not, but that would be sweet!

soarin after 4-17?

Anybody know what the preview status will be after the April 15-17 AP previews? We arrive for a four night stay on the 17th and would love to check it out.

I been on Soarin They setup the queues so long in the building. The movie was great and they all the scents right with the pine and I liked the blowing of the air up in the sky. You really feel you are flying, up & down and tilting left and right. However, I think the show was kinda short is the only downer. Otherwise, its a great ride for Epcot. Hopefully, we'll see a different set of show of Soarin in Epcot.

I have the same question -- we arrive on the 16th and will be there for the week and would love to experience Soarin'.

1 week from tomorrow! Skipping school to go, can't wait. I would love to think APers will go through the Pavillion to get to Soarin', but I would bet money that won't happen....you never know though...

I think I remember reading somewhere DVC members can also get in during AP previews. Can anyone confirm this? I hope so since I'll be there for a week starting April 23rd.
Got my fingers crossed!!

Will any other merchandise be available besides the Soarin' pins?

At this time, I have heard there will be no merchandise shop planned for the area. I am sure that shirts and what not will show up at MouseGear but nothing for sure.

Yes, DVC members can preview on April 15th. I am so bummed, because we'll be at WDW on Sunday and are lving early morning of the 15th. Was hoping to get in on one of the soft opening previews, but now it looks like that won't happen.

Sorry to hear that, but I am sure it makes a few people happy to knwo that Disney still does special things for it's hard working Cast. I did it today with my new Epcot team. I was really scared at first, I almost chickened out, but once we moved into position and it all began I was in heaven. I LOVE IT!
