This I can never accept. Now if they want to move Fantasmic somewhere maybe... but it would lose the charm of its current setting.
Fantasmic in it's current state? Burn it and restore the rivers to it's pre '90s appearance.

Now if they brought back the real F! With modern effects, it'd be worth the congestion and lack of night time rivercraft.

The show is no longer what it used to be, unfortunately.

I grew up on Fantasmic!, however I also grew up on old Disney shows, movies, and specials. I distinctly remember being a little girl and watching Louis Armstrong and his band play on the Mark Twain at night (this was back when the Disney Channel was actually good and worth one’s time). I loved it as a kid and still love it.

I would trade current Fantasmic! for a Mark Twain night cruise paired with a jazz band any day. The latter would be far more charming.

While in the opposite camp, I’d much prefer a nighttime show. We have a park full of nothing happening at nighttime. Plus, with the addition of Galaxy’s Edge, you have another way to get around the park.

I'll never understand why they don't take advantage of the platform and create lots of different "Soarin's" that rotate or appear for special occasions. Let's soar over the Pacific Northwest, Canada, National Parks, etc. Why not Soarin' with Eagles? Soarin' over the Grand Canyon, or Soarin' over the Alps. Wasted opportunities. Screen rides are perfect for variety.

P.S. There could even be a special "Soarin' with Walt on Dec 5th each year... :)

Soarin’ Over California is one of the remaining few attractions that actually has a tie to California. I don’t want to soar over Canada, the Grand Canyon, Oregon, Washington, the Alps, or with eagles at DCA.

It should always and only be California.

Fantasmic! isn’t going anywhere, so you’re good. Also, what else do you want there to be at night? I can understand another night parade, but other than that, what else would you expect?

I’m not in the loop on everything Disneyland, but I was under the impression you can go on the Mark Twain at night? I thought Fantasmic! only ran on weekends.

When I was there in February earlier this year, Fantasmic! was down for a refurb and we did the Mark Twain two times at night... no jazz band, but still a night cruise. So do they not normally run the Mark Twain at night on weekdays?

Also I love DL’s Fantasmic, but the Mark Twain at night was something special. We nearly had it to ourselves.

In the summer Fantasmic is every day, but in the winter it does go to weekend only.
