Soap Op. Weekend???

OK I knew when I started to plan my trip we were going to be there during Food & Wine and Fest of the Master. But I didn't remember that Soap Weekend was going on at MGM. I was at MGM a few years ago for Star Wars Weekend and that was not to bad, and most everyone was just there trying to get the pics and autographs so the lines were not that bad.

Anyone know what I should be expecting with the Soap Weekend? Like should I not even plan on visiting MGM during the weekend? Or is it ok as long as I don't care about the Soap Stars???

Experienced At-WDW-Coincidentally-During-Super-Soaper here.

Yes, much of the crowd is more involved in the Soaps than the attractions.

But it does get crowded anyway...last year park had to be closed to incoming guests for a time during each weekend day. And all those folks still can be between where you are and where you want to go.

So my advice...avoid Studios on the weekend or arrive early! arrive early! arrive early! to quote the unofficial guide.

AVOID MGM ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT ALL COSTS I was there last year (dummy me went for soap opera weekend so I could see my favorites and you could not move from place to place and I only got to see on person and the rest was on stage and forget going on any rides the waits were horrible
