No
Now if they somehow made it also work with something like Space Ranger Spin and shooting targets, or just work in other parts of the Avengers Campus (activating things in the Mission Breakout queue, extra bonuses in the Avengers E Ticket for BW/Spide/IM, etc.), I could maybe get behind it.
I could see them adding integration throughout the rest of the land later on, but as of now these seem kind of gimmicky.

This is really interesting. It seems like the first "pay to win" attraction. I'm imagining this being like TSMM except you would have to pay extra for the high-point targets to show up. I'm really curious to see how this works out!
Hopefully it's just visuals that change.

IKR!

It's an excellent way to make cash but a bit annoying for the consumer.

Well, we could always go back to the ticket system so you have to pay for a ticket book to ride attractions...
Oh, yeah. I do not like the idea at all. I get the financial thinking in this idea as a way to help drive up sales for the merch, but actually having some of the experience on an attraction be tied to merchandise is rude to guests.

It isn't new though. This might be the first specifically on a ride. But the Harry Potter wands and the Mario Power Up Bands locking away the coolest parts of the land behind merchandise were arguably just as bad if not worse.

It all is gonna depend on how the execution on the ride is. If it is just a neat bonus for people with merch: I don't care. If the ride feels incomplete without it: that sucks.

Whoever mods an infinity gauntlet with a magic band, wand, mario power band, webslinger and galaxy's edge droid remote and land decoder built in will really have something.

I got my hands on Planet Zoo last week now that I gotva gaming laptop, I may currently be closer to 100 hours than I was to 0 😅
My computer is too slow for it and I’ve got a desktop but I don’t have a monitor and I’m too lazy to go buy one, but once I do, planet zoo is a must play. I’ve bought all the DLC for the day that I do play so I have every animal haha
