Question of the Day
What is your favorite show in any of the parks?
If we're strictly going by shows that are still running in the parks, I have to go with Finding Nemo: The Musical at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Everything about this show works so well. The puppetry, the set design, and the music...wow. This was the first time that Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez did a score for Disney. And hearing how well they did with this show, it's no wonder they've become one of Disney's most frequent composers. Without "Go with the Flow" and "In the Big Blue World", we wouldn't have "Everything is Honey" or "Let it Go" or "Remember Me" or "Show Yourself".

In fact, this show is so popular that Disney plans to allow the show to become part of Music Theater International's "Broadway Jr." collection, set to start licensing in 2022! I think this is the first time this has ever happened to a Disney parks show. (However, I've also heard rumors on the BroadwayWorld forums that a "Jr." version of Twice Charmed is in the works, as well.)

Do NOT get me started on Twice Charmed. It's an absolutely wonderful take on the "Twice-Told Tale"/revisionist fairytale trope that doesn't fall into the typical traps.
I agree. Whether the original 2004 version, or the revised 2016 version, it's still a really good show. Frankly, "Believe in Me" is one of the best songs ever created for a Disney Parks/Cruise Line attraction. Plus, Franco DiFortunato is such a wonderfully villainous role, definitely one that would be a lot of fun to play.

YES YES YES
That song hits HARD and really sells how much Cinderella gets put through in the movie and the show. A well-acted performance of Believe in Me will stick with you.

Question of the Day
Who is an author whose writing style you can’t stand?
It is an amazing series, incredibly well written, a masterpiece, well deserving of all the praise it gets... but I find Tolkein's incredible sense of detail and world building and everything leads to a bit of a slog to read. Anytime I start to read Lord of the Rings I feel like I'm reading a text book.

Again, astoundingly great book series! I can get through maybe like 5 pages before I fall asleep.

Can't think of an author offhand but a style I dont like is a constant tease ending every chapter leaving your questions unanswered.

The first few times it keeps me invested but after 100 or so pages if you keep building and building this better be some reveal or else you've been wasting my time. Books like that could have a stronger impact if more condensed
