I've heard loads about it and and read a few interesting snippets in the Imagineer's book but I'm still clueless as to what it is exactly!

Does it ahve attractions? Is it just like another land but one only at Tokyo Disney?

It is the second theme park that they built there. It is themed after water. None of the rides actually get you wet, but they do have rides and shows that take place in and around water. Also they built a rather large lake for this park.

This site has a lot of photos and videos from the shows they have there.

Its not really themed to water, but ports of call along all the seven seas.

Which include Mediteranian Harbor ( italian port ), Port Discovery ( futuristic port ), American Waterfront ( New York ), Mermaid Lagoon ( the little mermaid kiddie area ), Arabian Coast ( middle east ), Mysteriouse Island ( Juel Vern 20k theme ), and Lost River Delta ( south american jungles ).

It is no doubt the best Disney park ever made. Its has so many E-ticket rides and stunning attention to detail.

You can find more info and pictures here: http://www.mouseplanet.com/tokyo/index.htm

Er... probably the best funded theme park with a Disney name on it!
And if I may add to Marni's statement, probably the best (and most beautiful) Disney themepark ever! Followed closely by Disneyland Paris (IMHO).
You can also try:
barrybedford.com (for ride videos)
jtcent.com (for more videos and news)
and of course
tokyodisneyresort.co.jp

Ooooh - very VERY close to DLP`s Disneyland park! If anything I would say DLP`s landscaping might just push it ahead. TDL just wins attraction wise and for sheer scale though!

Hmmm, I may agree with you on that Marni.
Could you imagine if DisneySeas would have been the second park in France instead of the studios?
Perhaps in some alternative reality where EuroDisney was a success.

Just to make things worse for you.
In this Universe:
Frank Wells is alive and well.
Eisner never lost his spirit.
They came to the decision that buying ABC and Fox Family was a really bad idea.
Katzenberg never left and 2D animation is alive and well.
DCA is Westcot.
And Animal Kingdom is a full day park.

Now go have some Tylenol.
:D

TAKE ME TO THAT UNIVERSE NOW!!!!!!

Anyway imagine this instead:

Disneyland Paris, Tokyo DisneySea, WestCot, Disney/MGM Studios, and (the COMPLETE) Animal Kingdom are the parks that make up Walt Disney World :D

Pretty sweet. But I'll be honest. I think I would take Epcot over Westcot, just because of World Show Case. Besides the world cruise aspect of Westcot I think I like the individual pavilions of Epcot better.
Just personal taste. The rest of it sounds GREAT!!!
Except you forgot "Disney's Florida Adventure"

I often play this game... piecing together the best possible resort from the various parks. DLP is the high water mark of the Kingdoms, but it lacks a lot of the greatest rides from WDW's MK. So the ideal kingdom would be DLP plus several needed classics from Florida.

The core great parks I think would be DLP, DisneySea, and WestCot. Then a redesigned MGM and a full-day AK. Then Disney's America?

It kills me that Eisner lost his nerve after DLP. Anyone could see that the park's struggles came from a combination of many factors, none of which was spending too much on building a quality park. His gunshy nature after that debacle has led to all of our problems since.

Westcot was a new and improved (& smaller) version of Epcot that was going to be built instead of California Adventure.
If you do a search at Jim Hill's site for California Mis-Adventure or just Westcot. He'll fill you in on the park.

As for E-Tickets at TDS what do you consider E-Tickets.

For me it's:
Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
Indiana Jones
Sinbad (seriously a really good dark ride, I don't care what anyone says)
and 20K (another great dark ride in a really uncomfortable vehicle)

So that's 4 for now.
In the next couple of years there will be:
Tower of Terror that will probably blow away anything at the US parks
And Raging Spirits - a really cool looking coaster that looks like DLP Indy coaster but with effects.

But I found that TDS was more than E Tickets (even if they were 3 out of 4 original attractions). It's the detail of the park that makes it a really great experience.

Nothing like this has been built since Disneyland Paris (another beautiful park).
Go to Mouseplanet and look at some of the picture tours of Disney Seas and tell us what you think. Look at the details of the buildings and the props. Then get back to us. :D

I love Tokyo DisneySea--it is definitely, along with Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom, their best park yet! However, Port Disney in Long Beach seems so much more amazing, especially Oceanea ;)!
