Trip Report So if we do it every trip - is it still Random?

Since we became APs several years ago we take the trek to the World multiple times per year. One thing we have never missed is the Food and Wine Festival. That is...until this year. With the opening of Galaxy’s Edge happening, we decided to skip it and go to Maui instead. I know. First world problems right? Spending Halloween on the beach was a hoot, but between Longboards and Bikini Blonds from Maui Brewing Company we started talking about the fact that we really missed going to MNSSHP and Food and Wine. The next day we were getting ready to go on a sunset drinking cruise and saw they had put up Christmas decorations already.

With breakfast and a boat ride done it was time to head to the front of the park to see where the fickle finger of fate would take us and a monorail passing overhead gave us an idea. It was off to the TTC aboard the gold train. We got off as the ferry was coming into dock, so in perfect random style we jumped on for a ride across the lake.

we Uber’d home for a quick couple hours sleep and it was off to MSP to get out of the -5 weather for a few days.View attachment 432521

GO WILD!!! Hubs and I use to go to a lot of Wild games, but usually only go to one a year now. We just watch from home, but we always thought it would be fun to be in a suite.

Fun trip report so far, looking forward to seeing more.

As we finished our meal, the 30% chance of rain turned to 100% and continued for the rest of the day and straight on through the Christmas party. Time to put on the ponchos and bring on the fa la la la la la la la squish.

Friday came with a late start since we didn’t get back to our room until nearly 1AM. But with dry shoes and an assurance from the local weather that it was going to be a pleasant, dry day we were off to get on the first bus we saw to see where we were going to start the next random adventure.

HS was packed with cheerleaders and what we guessed were people waiting for their number to get called for the RotR. But, because the weather guy said it was going to be a nice day, we thought we could still take in Galaxy’s Edge since it wasn’t open when we were here in the spring And we even stopped to get our photo taken by Echo Bay and all the decorations.

Now, remember what I said about the forecast?

Seconds after the photo pass shot, the sky opened up and we were ankle deep in a down pour. We hid out next to a vendor that reached into her cart and started pulling out ponchos to sell to those of us that were dumb enough to listen to the same weather guy.

Truth be told, I did pull out my phone to check the trip reports to see if @Darstarr was posting a live report, but nope. I only had the weather guy to blame this time.

We waded into Galaxy’s Edge and sought refuge in Oga”s. We ordered a couple of drinks that I don’t remember the name of but they tasted like margaritas. It was still pouring outside so we stayed for another round. We got a little magic when we asked the server where we should go to get something to eat. He told us to order the charcuterie off the secret menu. It was really good, but since it’s not on the menu and is a secret, just remember you didn’t hear it from me.
