I have to tell someone! I just booked the Dream for a 3 night leaving Dec 26th for my wife, two daughters (will be 5 & 3 at sailing) and in-laws. It was more expensive than an early December cruise, but this is going to be so much fun! I was able to get connecting oceanview cabins on Deck 2 (9B - 2012 & 2014). My FIL and I are the only two that know. Right now the plan is to tell everyone Christmas morning. It will be the last present opened. Then we will pack, get in the car and drive to N FL somewhere. Next morning wake-up and get on the Dream!!

A few quick questions:
*Has anyone stayed in or near these cabins? It appears we have a store above us, so hopefully we will not have too much noise.
*Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to tell/surprise the family?
*Is there a hotel near Port Canaveral we can stay at and they will allow us to leave our car for 3 nights?

Thanks, and I am sure my secret is safe with you guys :)

Wow! That is so exciting!

I haven't stayed on deck 2 on the Dream, but it generally gets good reviews.
They definitely need to unwrap something fun! And you need to videotape it!
I like the Radisson Resort at the Port and the Residence Inn. Both have cruise parking packages. :)

Where are you on Deck 2? Just be aware that the Enchanted Garden is located there and it may be a little busy during various times of the day. I doubt you would ever be in the room during those times but hey you never know. Enjoy the cruise I am sure they will be so surprised!

I would say our 3 year old might be napping during the late lunch hours, but lets be honest any of us might be napping in the room during late lunch hours. We are in Category 9B - 2012 & 2014. Have you ever stayed near these cabins or on Deck 2? Thanks for your reply and well wishes! I will make sure to video the present opening. Hopefully I can keep it a secret and sleep Christmas Eve night ... 1st World problems I know.

No I just came back from my first cruise but stayed on the 8th floor (right tammy?). I can’t say on the foot traffic but I can tell you from being near the elevator on the 8th floor I heard no one while near the bed area. Near the bathroom I heard a little but still those rooms are really sound proof.
