I know that using a target red card to get 5% off of disney gift cards is pretty well known...
but did you know you still get 5% off even when you use target gift cards instead of your red card (still need to have a red card on file.)

You can find discounted gift cards on sites like raise:
https://www.raise.com/buy-target-gift-cards
I've seen cards at even 12% off!

and then get your free gift cards with disney vacation account ($20 per $1000 deposited)

so I guess to sum up:
1.) buy target gift cards on raise
2.) use target gift cards to buy disney gift cards at target.com (must have a target red card)
3.) enter disney cards into your disney vacation account
4.)???
5.) profit

might seem like alot of work, but for hundreds of dollars in savings I'd say it's worth it ;)
works great for using disney gift cards at DW restaurants too!

Can you... purchase target gift cards... in store... with your RedCard... and save 5%? Like you can buying Disney Gift Cards?

Can I then use that target gift card... to buy a Disney Gift Card (with RedCard on file) and save a total of 10%?

You can also get GC's at Sam's at just shy of 5% off and you don't need a credit card. You do however need a membership. We just saved about $300 by paying it off with GC's. It does take a little time to enter all 120 or so cards online. :)

Its funny how topics get recycled in new threads. This one was came up about 3 months ago.

You can't get any discount buying target gift cards at the store with the red card.
You can't even get a discount using target gift cards to buy disney gift cards at the store even if you have a red card. (if there is a remainder balance after you use the gift cards and then use your red card. you will get a discount off the remaining balance)
Gotta do it all on the internets.

I can confirm that this does indeed work. I opened up a Target debit card to avoid getting hit with another credit inquiry (I opened a Chase Freedom card recently to put my upcoming vacation on...$225 in rewards just for opening the card and 0% interest for 15 months). You can get the 5% discount and free shipping even without putting anything on the card. It's actually not a bad deal.

I got the red card credit card because I didn't like it being linked directly to my checking account..
But they give you such a low credit limit that thankfully I can use another CC to pay for the target gift cards.

Using this method for our upcoming trip! Saved 7% on target cards and 5% on disney cards for a total of 216. Plus we got a $25 gc for the dvc thing and then an additional $40 will be coming from the savings club. You helped save us a ton of money. Thank you!
