Snowballs or Italian Ice

With summer swinging into high gear, which do you prefer more? Favorite flavors?

Well, shave ice, specifically the variety that you get in Hawaii, but that wasn't one of your options.

Snowballs. I like getting them with the marshmallows on the inside. Bubble gum is my favorite flavor, although I usually mix several flavors. I haven't had one in a while; I should go get one this summer.

Definitely Italian ice. Cherry, black cherry or lime were my go-tos, but I like them all. I had an apartment across the street from a Rita's for six whole glorious summers.

Chocolate snowball with a scope of vanilla on the bottom. OP you realize snowballs are mostly a Maryland thing right? They are like crab cakes other states try but just not the same.

Was wondering why I never heard of snowballs. I'm from South Jersey so I'd definitely opt for a "wudder" ice or Italian ice to the rest of you. Snowballs sound delicious, I may need to try one next time I'm in that area.

all depends on the consistency and type of ice

Dumsers italian ice is awesome in it's soft, yet still flavor packed and eats almost like ice cream. Some italian ice is more like scraping your own shaved ice..

Fresh shaved ice snowballs are good, but I'll still take a true slush puppie over them

I had to think what a snowball was. We call them snowcones here. The best I ever had was in Aruba with fresh coconut mixed in. SOO GOOD!
