Snow Rant

It's snowing today and everyone is driving around like i*#diots -- like they've never seen snow before. You'd think the roads were solid ice. People are going 10 to 15mph all around town.

I need to go out again, but will probably skip it. I don't have the patience. I'll probably go sledding.

In England it tends to go the other way, in bad weather, drivers become psycho and go faster than they do when it is nice weather! LOL

Here in the Cincinnati area, people can't drive regardless of what the weather is doing. If it is even slightly raining, traffic comes to a halt and there are wrecks everywhere. When it snows, forget it.:hammer:

We've got about 3 inches outside and now it's turning to freezing rain. I don't even want to think about what the traffic is like.

The problem is that everyone went out this morning like there wasn't a winter storm warning and then didn't know what to do. If the snow had started 3 hours earlier everyone would have stayed home.

Sounds like England is like Colorado, WDWMagic. In Colorado I'm the slow driver in the snow. I'll usually get up to 40 or 45 on a snow covered road (not interstate) and people will pass me going 55 or more. Here, you won't get far before you're stuck behind someone going 15.

Celticdog, I hope you get the snow and not the ice. Last time we had bad ice we were without power for 5 days and had to stay with friends so we wouldn't freeze.

Fortunately we've got about two cords of wood. Time to get a fire going and pop Fellowship of the Ring in the DVD. And some coffee with a little rum and chocolate in it.

LOL yeah that is true.
Although I think I would rather be in America with the people driving slow to avoid being sued and at least get home from work in one piece! ;)

Sidenote...Steve...I never realized that you were from England :)
(don't know why that is relevant here...)

(The driving in snow is why I am a little cautious about buying a BMW)

Well the Montreal drivers are pretty much the same as the french from France drivers, when you go out your life is in your hands ! I feel much better driving around Pa USA ~:D ( snow, ice or just a regular summer day !)
