Smoking areas at Wilderness Lodge?

As much as I am anti-smoking, I get it. There is no way on this earth that my mom would have gone to Disney World when she was a smoker if today's limits were in place then. Thank goodness she no longer smokes, as she had to be in the hospital for a while, and did the worst of her withdraw there.

I am going to say that you do have a choice. Not only to go or not to go, but to allow an addiction to rule your life to the extent that you will change how you live that life to accommodate your addiction. If you want to go to WDW go, but either give up smoking or admit to yourself that your addiction is strong enough that it is worth it to hike outside of the park to get that smoke. If you truly want to go to WDW with your family than I hope you go. Would any of the gums or patches be enough to get you thru the day?

I'm chiming in here. My mother in law impressed the heck out of me on our last trip. At her home, she is having a smoke first thing in the morning last thing at night with many in between. This past trip she did not need one all day and then only one or two in the evening. I asked her how and she just said, she knew the rules and it wasn't something that she absolutely needed.

The amount of insulting remarks and jabs through this thread are comical. So we have resorted to pointing out someone misspelling ludicrous? How about responding to the original posters question with relevant answers. SMH . FYI I’m a non smoker and shocked by the rudeness displayed. Feel free to pick apart my grammar or misspelling.

Im so glad to see IM not the only one who is a non smoker but finds a lot of ppls passive aggressive comments rude and insulting. no one was asked to give advise on OP smoking they were asked on locations of DSA at WL! Dont give me the bull about free speech and it being a forum, everyone deserves to be able to post without being insulted... Its frustrating to see how many judgmental ppl there are here

I was at POP last September and the smoking area was along side the path to the main building. I had to walk by to get to Food court. I hated it. The smell of cigarette smokes is the worst smell in the world. Was back in April and smoking area was moved further away into a less traveled spot. In my many visits to Disney World parks I have seen many people who were not following the rules back then. Always wondered why the CM did not do anything about these quests. Are they now going to actually enforce the rules? Banned from Disney property for life for violating policy.

I know this is off topic, but I cannot get my head around 15K for one trip to Disney. Even my upcoming two-week trip staying at CCV and BLT, having the dining plan, flights, etc are about half that amount with 2 adults and 1 child. I didn't even spend 15K on my July 2019 trip and my upcoming January and June 2020 trips combined (including the cost of buying three APs). I strong suggest that the OP rent DVC points if he plans on staying in a deluxe resort.

On topic, my sister-in-law went with us in July and is a smoker. She told me when she was walking to the DSA at MK that security caught someone smoking in a non-designated area and they scanned his magic band and escorted him out of the park and told him he was banned for the day at any Disney park. Apparently, they kind of made an example of him.
