Park staff and Management were baffeled to find several trees and large amounts of various plants and bushes completly stripped of their leaves yesterday near the dinoland area of the park, officials stated. There are some reports that a few of the smaller ones were completely missing, ruling out a guest stealing them. One of the parks groundskeeper's was also missing, although his hat was found in (quote "a large pile of what looks like mud") in a backstage area. The local police were spotted backstage, further leading to the mystery.

This sounds like the start of a half thought out guerilla marketing campaign. For some new as of yet un-announced attraction.

I can't see the plants in the park being very valuable, at least the point of trying to steal them. Hopefully everyone is ok and this gets explained.

Hope the groundskeeper is okay. This is very, very strange.

That's what I thought. Stealing/disappearing plants is one thing, but a missing groundskeeper whose hat was discovered in mud is very suspicious.
