Slow days for parks

We will be at WDW from Nov 3-10 and want to visit all the parks. My question is: does anyone know if certain parks are slower on certain days? if so, which days for which parks?

Our main goal on our trip to to visit the parks on their "slow days", since we don't visit often we want to experience as many attractions as possible - don't care about special events.

On our last visit we made sure we visited on non-early entry days and that worked well but that won't work this time. (I am aware of the Soap weekend and can avoid that at MGM. )

Thanks!

Dear Cindy,
I think that going when you are going....you will not need to worry about the parks being very busy on any day. The food and wine festival is going on at Epcot every night, so the crowds are a little bigger there, but they're not even terrible. We'll be there at the same time...let's hope for terrific weather!

The parks shouldn't be crowded, as lynnkatherine said, but you might want to avoid the Magic Kingdom on Saturday...unless you want to see SpectroMagic and Fantasy in the Sky. It will be the most crowded that day.

Tuesday is the busiest day at Epcot.

Rational: People travel on weekends, do Magic Kingdom on Monday, and then Epcot on Tuesday.

That's how i had ti explained to me.. but anyways.. I do know it really is more crowded on Tuesdays.

Excellent point, DogsRule!
If possible, avoid the Magic Kingdom on Saturdays.

PS...my son's name is Kyle too....and he is going to be a dentist.
Good luck with your vetrinarian studies.

Do Fantasy in the Sky and Spectromagic only show on Sat now? that would not bode well for slow day touring plan, don't want to miss them - hmm:brick:

I've read on these boards that since the Early Entry for WDW guests the pattern of busy/quiet days has been eradicated. Now they all get busy !!. However, I would still avoid MK on a Saturday.

just a teeny hint

Even though the park hours have not been posted yet for November, I thought I might offer a little hint I got from a CM while making my 8pm dinner reservations for Rose and Crown Pub. She said expect to give yourself plenty of travel time thru Epcot on Monday (Nov 4) due to Tapestry of Dreams Parade.

Hope that might help, err, for that evening I guess!!

We've always tried to visit the MK on Sundays. We have been tols by castmemebers that this is the least busiest day, as most guests are either leaving or coming for their vacation.

:) thanks for the feedback everyone!

Unfortunatly we are also coming/going on Sunday so we couldn't do MK then - oh well, doing AK and MGM on Mon and Tuesday, hopping to Epcot at their closings, off day WEdnesday, MK on Thursday and then just revisiting the kids favorites and missed stuff on Sat day - knowing that it will be busy but I want to see Spectromagic/fireworks in in Evening.

here are some tips I've collected:

old EEs:
MK - Mon, Thurs, Sat;
Epcot - Tues, Fri;
MGM - Weds, Sun -
AK never had EE

Avoid these parks on old EE days on the theory that EEs were added to reduce already large crowds.

Sunday is historically the slowest day at MK, with Wednesday a close second.
Sunday is slow at all four parks as it is a MAJOR travel day.
Epcot is slow on Mondays, as most guests arrive on Monday and want to spend their first day at MK. Tuesday is Epcot's first heavy day of the week.
Tuesday and Wednesday are heavy at MGM, but Sunday and Monday are slower.
AK is still hard to judge as it is still a baby and still defies most attempts to identify patterns (just like a two to three year old human)
Fridays and Saturdays are heavy at MK, but not as heavy as Mondays. Generally, Saturdays are heavier at all four, and all of these generalities are to be totally ignored during peak days and holidays (New Year's Eve was on a Sunday... we closed the gates before 10am)

Thanks indigo - that does make sense about the old EE days.

Last time we went to MK was on a Wednesday in January (misting rain too) and there was NEVER more than a 10 min line and that was in the afternoon - we rode the mountains repeatedly- no problem meeting characters etc
:D
children and parents are now spoiled

I think I'll try to travel from Sat to Sun so first Sunday is free to do a park - hope there are flights left

New plan:
Sun AK
Mon MGM
Tues off
Wend MK
Thurs: Epcot and return to favorites
Fri/Sat: AKL/DD and maybe a water park
Sun home

Thanks for the tips. It seems most people start their trip to WDW at MK first before going to the other parks. I have the park hopper so if it is too crowded we will go to another park. I might try a tip a heard of. Go two different parks in one day.
