Slinky Dog Dash Lighting

I personally think that the lighting package on Slinky Dog Dash was amazing. However, the majority of the individually addressable RGB lights have seemed to of died (it seems like they’re wired linearly in a way that one dead LED kills the whole strand). Does anyone know of an upcoming refurbishment for the ride? The effect of the car changing the color of the track is pretty cool and it’s sad to see this effect slowly die off…

It’s been dying for over a year.

It was hard to find, but I found this:

The track lighting would change with the speed of the train and when a train wasn't in that zone it would do different patterns.

Looks more like the lights have 'fallen over' behind the rail such that they aren't directly visible.

But, the track is still uniformly lit in blue, then white, when the train passes by, which seems to imply that the lights are indeed still there and working, but blocked from view.

Are you talking about in that video? It's from a few years ago. I'm not sure what it looks like in person but the OP suggests that it has fallen into disrepair.

Yea, nowadays only about one of every 5 track segments lights up. It should be an easy fix though, so I hope the effect comes back fully when and if it goes down for refurb.
