Skip Mousekeeping, earn $10/night?

It’s going to be a $10 a night fee before we know it to have mousekeeping.

DVC members used to have the option to pay extra for daily service and now they don't.

That's how you know the labor shortage is real. Disney passing up the opportunity to upsell guests.

Disney's attitude is more like, "like it or leave it -- you'll be back, you know it and we know it"

I think tides are changing. More and more are dissillusioned. Sure I hear of the great trips, but it is always followed with "we could have done x for half the money and not wait in lines."

A friend of mine who is a WDW fan and works for a professional sports team had told me Disney isn't afraid of losing guests since they'll pass on the cost to those still in attendance. Sports teams do it all the time and Disney is no exception.

Way back in 2018, we were able to skip Mousekeeping for a $10/night gift card. Are they still doing that?

No a lot has changed. We stayed for a week in June and our room wasn't cleaned once. We had to sit trash and dirty towels outside our door and go to desk to pick up more. Won't stay on property again till cleaning returns.

On the other hand, if you are someone who tipped housekeeping...now you can just keep that money.
