From what i've been reading here, I think a lot of you are unhappy with the situation at DHS and even many are considering skipping it altogether.
AM i wrong?
Are there so many attractions currently undergoing renovations?

We are going the third week of February and kids love the Tower, hubby loves the Rock n Roll coaster FromDisneyand Paris... we've never been to WDW and might never go back as we are from Europe
Thanks!..

Thank u so much for the replies and the info.
And the pictures!!!

We will definitely go to DS then and I'm sure we'll have a good tiem
It has to be a whole day... we don't have the park hopper and we want to spend the whole day in the parks every day... it IS potentially a once in a lifetime event...

You can take a break and then reenter the park the same day without a hopper. You really need to see the park at night.

Not a bad idea. Do all the rides and daytime stuff and, if the food at the various eateries don't strike your fancy, pop out to one of the nearby resort hotels for a bite at their restaurants. Then come back for Fantasmic and other nocturnal activities.

We could do that. ?.any suggestions for QS anywhere outside the parks?
I would normally direct you to the Epcot Resorts for a meal if you did not want to eat inside the park since they are a short boat ride away or not-short-but-doable walk. HOWEVER the QS options at these resorts are not that great. Definitely not worth completely leaving the park to go try. I would instead look at either doing one of the TS locations at one of the resorts or doing a TS location inside the park, such as 50s Prime Time Cafe or Sci-Fi cafe (those are the only two I recommend). Prime Time and Sci-Fi are not horribly expensive and their food is way better than any QS location. Sci-Fi also is really cool theme-wise.
