We will be visiting Oct. 2003. My DH is very large 6'6" 380lb. At some amusement parks he has trouble fitting onto rides. Will we encounter much of this at WDW?:p

Yes, he will have trouble on some rides...I wish I could give you a whole list...I can really only think of a few... Goofy's Barnstormer and Dumbo are two that he may have a problem with...and...maybe Thunder mountain.

But I think he will be fine at the majority of the attractions... Space moutain will not work either, and I'm not sure of limitations on Alien Encounter either.

This is a great site...load the above and it will tell you which rides at which parks might not accommodate a larger person and which kinds of seats each ride has (i.e., bench seats, theatre seats, etc.). There are also some testimonials about people of larger sizes who have been to the parks and whether or not they had a hard time on which rides and even some helpful hints, like sitting in the last car of the rollercoaster, etc. Check it out, you'll see what I mean.:) Hope this helps you!:)

Cheryl, cute avatar. I made the background transparent if you want it. I will make the pic bigger for you when I get home if you want. I can put your name on it too. It's up to you.

Sorry for the thread drift.

That would be very cool....if and when you have the time and if you still would want to do it.
I wanted something different this year for us to wear at the VMCP (to have our pictures taken) so I made shirts with this picture on it as well. Came out real cute so I figured that it's my "Trademark" this season!

Thanks again!

my boyfriend is 6' 8'', 249 lbs. ....although he felt cramped on many rides....he says it was fine and do-able....we did not go on any rides in fantasyland though....ask the cm on space mountain which is the roomiest seat (one is roomier) and i'm sure they will hook you up with it...i remember the haunted mansion buggies being a bit tight for him...but i let him have most of the leg room and he was fine...hope this helps

I'm 6'6", 245lbs (approx). My list would include :-
Space Mtn - rideable but getting in and comfy is tricky.
Splash Mtn - as above
Big Thunder - as above
Test Track - as above
Tomorrowland Speedway - as above
RockNRoller - front seats are easiest
Basically - the difficulty arises in the length of the thigh (hips to knees) alot of rides tend to cater for the average size person

Test Track would be perfect. All they would have to do is sit in the front of the car. Each seat is wide on average. So they wont have any trouble.
