I grew up with GA…back when i graduated from HS (82), one weekend was the Seaside Heights boardwalk, one weekend was GA. Back then they were open until midnight and one summer 83? was the 100th anniversary of the roller coaster so they celebrated by taking one track of Rolling Thunder ( side by side wooden coaster) and reversed the cars so you rode it backwards! I think a season pass was 25 dollars & parking was free. Gas was about 1.25/gallon and I fit 7 friends into my ‘72 Olds 98 and we had an awesome time every weekend.
They will probably add another mega ride not only for the 50th but El Toro may have to be demolished and they will need something to replace it.
