Six Flags/Disney

Hi all-

I know people have previously said how Six Flags parks sell Disney merchandise.....but has anyone ever heard Spectromagic music playing anywhere in Six Flags? I was at Great Adventure yesterday (would much rather have been in WDW) and while exiting Superman, the gift shop was playing Spectromagic. It kind of annoyed me !

In addition, is the new "Glow in the Park Parade" at Six Flags (Great Adventure) the same one as was at HKDL, or does it, for some reason, just have the same name?

Wishing he was in WDW while picking out all the reasons why Six Flags is NOTHING like Disney,
Bryan

Wow!

I would think that Disney would have a major beef with this......I also can't understand how Warner Bros. would let Six Flags get away with selling Disney items, seeing as how their cartoon characters are supposed to be the official characters of the Six Flags parks.

Of course, I did think it odd to hear the theme from Harry Potter playing at DHS while there 2 weeks ago.
Couldn't Disney issue some type of cease and desist order against Six Flags, especially if they are using copyrighted parade tracks like SpectroMagic.

Um...Time Warner sold the Parks to Premier in 1999 and then To Red Zone in 2005...The sad thing here is that Red Zone is getting permission from Time Warner to have the Warner Bros/DC Comic Charcters at the parks...I myself think it's really sad since Bugs & I were really good friends a few years ago...And My hometown park is the one they took the characters and made a big franchise in the mid 80's...It's soo sad..During our Fright Fest they play Half of Nightmare Before Christmas tracks throughout our park.

I'm not really surprised by this. Great Adventure was playing the Jurassic Park theme song in the entrance area of the park before.

I'll cut them some slack; they do have one of the greatest wooden roller coaster in the world! :D

It confuses me too---but I did purchase the cutest Disney shirt at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.
I've never heard Disney music in the Six Flags parks though---I don't know what I'd do if I heard it----probably leave...lol

It was really weird because as soon as i yelled (not so loudly) "WHY ARE THEY PLAYING SPECTROMAGIC MUSIC HERE!!??!" (possibly with some additional profanities)....the music just cut out. and NO! it was NOT just in my head...it was really there (unfortunately I wasn't with any Disney freaks that would be able to corroborate my story) haha

It did kinda bother me a tad bit because all day (as I said in my previous post)....I was pointing out all the things that make Six Flags not even close to WDW (i.e., Skull Mountain ride building fading from "stone", to painted stone, to just metal and being able to see the necks of the people playing the characters)....WDW was just dangling over my head :lookaroun
