Single Rider lines

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
But not on all rides. Only like 3 of the rides still have/have one. Test Track is one of the 3. I can't remember the other 2 rides. :)

Soarin' isn't a good candidate for single riders because the grouper(s) have plenty of time to find groups of guests to fill the rows in the normal line.

Only high capacity/short dispatch cycle attractions with discrete seating are good candidates (like TT, EE and RNRC). Imagine getting stuck with a creepy person on an attraction like POC or HM or Splash or even TSMM.

Rides like ST and ToT,,while not having single rider lines, frequently call for single riders to fill seats. Has happened to me more than once.

It's a shame there aren't more when you look at how many rides at Disneyland have single rider lines (which does include Soarin). Single rider lines on Space Mountain, Kali River Rapids, and Kilimanjaro Safari would all be potentially useful (and appreciated)

What rides at DLR have single rider lines? I have never been there but it sounds interesting.

Single Rider Lines...

  • Expedition Everest
  • Rock n' Roller Coaster
  • Test Track

Is that really it?
Officially yes, but, going solo as much as I do, many times I have heard them ask if anyone was alone and wanted to ride. Many times I said, yes and was pulled out of a line to fill a space. Soarin was one of them and 7 Dwarf Train was another that I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure that there have been others I just don't remember which ones they were.

Yup. Soarin' had it when it first opened but it didn't last very long (think weeks). Because the loading capacity of each cycle is so large it's relatively easy for CM's to assign guests so that every seat is full. This results is the single rider line going so slowly it was often taking longer than standby. They still have it in CA but I used it only once and it moved so slowly I ended up bailing out and riding later via Standby.

I have to say, the two times I have been to Epcot since Soarin was Closed for Refurbishment, the single rider line at Test Track has been terrible. I was there Saturday and walked by Test Track and the regular line was at 60 minutes and the single rider was at 45.

Before Christmas when I would go by it seemed like the regular would be at 60 and the single rider was at 15-20. This was of course on a slower day but still. Anyone else notice this in recent visits? Almost makes the single rider line not worth it when it is almost as long as the normal wait.

The last time I was there those were the only three rides to have an official single rider line. For us is worked great to ride TT and EE and somewhat as good at RRC. I too have seen rides like Space mountain and Splash mountain where they ask for a party of one/two to help fill a car to help with weight distribution. There also needs to have space to have the third queue line for SR, which is probably why so few rides have them.
