Single rider lines still an option?

I do recall in the early 00's they did a single riders line within Space Mountain...While it didn't have signs in regards to it you had to ask a CM up front that would tell you to go to the Split to go to Alpha or Omega and once you got there you tell them your a Single rider. Which then the CM station there directed you to the Fastpass queue..I did this a few times...However they must have nixed it after 2009 as they say they don't do that anymore..Which is a shame..

It is fine as long as they split up and don't beg people to let their special family stay together... A certain poster here is the king of that...
At certain attractions, like Test Track or Forbidden Eye at Disneyland, you actually stand almost even odds of being seated with another single rider when you use the line.

Yes
Test Track single rider line is pretty consistently open and fast. But you don't get to design your car. If you don't care about designing your car, then there's no problem missing out on that and I definitely say take the single rider there.

Rock and Rollercoaster has a single rider line pretty consistently open. For reasons I will never understand, that single rider line is consistently as long or longer than standby. I go fast pass or standby. Single rider isn't worth it there most times.

Everest has the shortest, fastest moving single rider line on property. But isn't always open. I'd always ask if it is open if you are riding it, I'd definitely ask.

Flight of Passage and one or two others rides may have single riders from time to time, but it is very rare. Rare enough that people who live there and go to the parks multiple times a week don't know that it ever happens at all. So, don't count on them.

Overall, Universal is better for Single Riders to manage line lengths. Disney has fast passes for free to manage line lengths. Use fast passes. Even just what you can get day off works for all but the peak attractions
