Since nostalgia is a big deal right now...

Keep Mission Space or demolish it and bring back Horizons completely?

I'd be quite with a spiritual successor to Horizons about a family in the future featuring an original song and soundtrack. But that will currently never happen, unfortunately.

first option is to have modern versions of all orig pavs 😁
if not that, then - blessing of size, so if you re-build horizons, keep space 😎

so, i voted for the option not to look at you in the eye, but i couldn't help it... so, uh... 😚

With respects, I have to disagree. I feel that Horizons, like COP would have stood the test of time. Like in the final scenes of COP, the technology they show are things we currently have access to but we still treasure the showing of the recent pasts, but in Horizons it shows a future of people living in cities underwater or space. We don't exactly have those yet.

Edit: But I will add that I did in fact enjoy Mission Space...volume 1 with Gary Sinise. Loved it! Wish they didn't take out Horizons for it, but loved it anyway. The new one? Eh...no.
The ideas of cities underwater, terraforming the desert and space colonies could not possibly be a more dated vision of the future (well, maybe not the space colony idea, since Elon Musk is still working on this). This is the kind of thing people dreamed about in the 50s and 60s, but nobody is working on this kind of stuff or even thinks it's a good idea today.

I don't honestly think COP has stood the test of time that well. I respect the ride and generally enjoy it, partially or well, really mostly due to the history behind it but I think COP has overall aged relatively terribly. That final seen is, not shockingly at all, what you'd envision for the future if you lived in 1962.

Going back to Horizons. I'll be honest and say I don't remember the ride very well. We started going in 95' and it closed in 99.' I don't have much of an emotional connection to it the way many of the older folks on this board do and I don't think it'd fit that well if it were brought back today. So I voted for Mission Space. That being said, if you started talking about bringing back the original JII... I'd be all for it.
