I wasnt sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but i saw a commercial for the new Simpsons episode coming on next weekend (Jan 5) and they are going to WDW. What was the most interesting thing is that during the commercial, one of the buildings at the park was none other than HORIZONS. I'll be anxious to see if that plays a role in the episode. Just thought i'd let everyone know. I'll be watching, will you?

That's what the scheduled time is, but it may be later due to the NFL playoffs.

It was just amazing that the first building i noticed was Horizons. Do you think they'll make a comment regarding it and how they've gotten rid of many classic attractions?

Yeah, i think you're right...they were banned from all but 2 states or something like that. But then again, what does it really matter? Its not like the show is completely about consistency...I mean Bart's been in the 4th grade for like 10 years now...heck there was episode early on when he "passed the 4th grade" yet the next season, he was still in the 4th grade.

GOTTA LOVE THE SIMPSONS WRITERS!

In Sunday's episode, the Simpsons go to a park called "EFCOT", which Homer says is "even boring to FLY over!". HAHA!

Look for Disney attractions and innuendo galore!

Near the end of the show, Homer tries to escape to the Magic Kingdom, but can't get over the barbed wire that keeps guests in EFCOT! TOO FUNNY!

While I love EPCOT, I can also appreciate some great humor. The Simpsons never fail to satisfy!

Be sure to watch and post back after the show!

:sohappy:

Oh...my....god.

I can't believe they are doing this. They have always made fun indirectly of WDW. But this would be the most blatant thay have ever been.

Who knows? They end up having to apologize to almost every country they have an episode in.
I think Disney's fine with it... They may even have relased a statement about it, laughing at it... They can take a joke (I hope):D  :hammer:

What would be really neat is at the end of the episode Homer is proud of his WDW trophy he snatched, and Lisa quips in and says

"Why did it have to be 6 tons of FERTILIZER!"

Homer says, "Well, it smelled better than the food at EPCOT!"

Remember some time ago the stolen fertilizer episode at WDW? last I heard still nobody knows who took it.

I'm not sure how the suits will take it, but I am sure all the other employees will be laughing their heads off.

I mean, they've been making fun of Disney for years now! Groening and the guys must either love Disney or hate it.
