I have talked to them twice a day and Lil'Mermaid is excited about the school.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she gets in!
The dog is the one having a problem, she keeps looking out the door and wandering around outside looking for them.

We went through the same thing when my daughter was off checking out schools. My son didn't know quite what to do with himself without having her around to torture.
I have to warn you about the day she leaves for college, wherever it may be. It will be, by far, the hardest thing you've ever had to do as a Mom. Letting go, no matter how much confidence you have in her, is really heart-wrenching! Stock up on tissues now!

Both of our girls went to college locally, but they are now on their own. Even though we raised them to be independent, who knew they'd actually go and do it! :lol:
Seriously, letting go is one of the toughest aspects of parenthood!

AIM really helped me through that first year she was away. Just be able to catch up with her day, or say a quick good-night was very reassuring to me.
...and to think I'll have to go through this again in the fall of '07.....
