Testify my people!!! I also hate people who need to "do the park" really? Are you winning a prize for annoying the most people? I may go during really popular times but I also take my time and enjoy the parks. I try to choose my attitude and not let people bother me but sometimes......

The background in the John Wayne scene in The Great Movie Ride. The background has a wrinkle in the top right that has been there from the first year the park was open. In the last refurb I was hoping it would be fixed but alas it is still there. I know it's a small detail but it has bothered me since 1990.

The one that just makes me snap is when I stake out a nice spot for a show and someone shows up at the last minute and tries to weasel their way in.

There is a major difference between fat people and fat/lazy/slob people.

There are overweight people who dress appropriately and walk through the parks - and probably don't eat healthy because who eats healthy in Disney? But then there are the fat people who wear clothes too small for them, are too lazy to walk so they rent scooters and sloppily eat their food. (but yea if you're really pushing the obese limit - a turkey leg is probably not the best "snack" of choice)

It's not about being overweight - it's about the way you handle yourself.
Agreed, wife and I are far from skinny (we skip Universal because of the challenge with some of the rides) but we are aware of it and dress appropriatly.

It's such a shame that the happiest place on earth has so many things that bug us, lol I feel guilty saying this, but the thing that bugs me the most are the parents who seem to think that no one else in the world matters except their child! Especially when it comes to characters!

For example, you know how during a character meal, you are supposed to sit at your table and wait for them to come to you? Then why in the heck do parents think they can have their kid stand in the middle of the isle trying to get the attention of a character while they are busy with another child? Sometimes I wish I were a cast member so I can tell them to go sit down. I understand that with all the commotion going on during a meal a table can be over looked, but all you have to do is tell a server the situation and they will do their best to remedy it. But if you are 'too busy' to wait then that is your fault, that doesn't give you the right to ruin another family's experience because you couldn't be bothered to wait your turn.

Now, this has never happened to me, so I guess I shouldn't be so angry about it. I don't even blame the child because they don't know better. I blame the parents because this is a time to teach them patience and how to act at a meal. So when I watch other tables and I see some children with such etiquette and patience that no matter how excited they are or how long it takes, they sit and watch with anticipation as their favorite star comes toward them. To see that moment ruined because a self important mother NEEDS to get that photo of their child with goofy before or even after their turn has passed and pushed them in front of a character so that character has to acknowledge them bothers me to no end.

phew! sorry for the rant

Wait...one thing, lol This DID happen to me personally one time. I was in Epcot with my cousin and her 3 year old daughter and we were walking under Spaceship Earth when a cast member grabbed our attention. She asked us if we wanted to meet some characters so we said yea. she led us into the Character spot and we saw Chip and Dale, Goofy, Minnie and Donald Duck. Hardly any lines, in was awesome! Donald was our last character and though I wasn't in the mood to see the others I was kind of excited to meet Donald. We all got in line, I had my camera and autograph book ready and when it was my turn, a kid jumped in front of me. I said ok, he's 3, I'm 25, let him go, I will go next. My turn comes up, another kid jumps in front of me. Was I not standing in line correctly? Did the parent not see me there with my autograph book? I was starting to get annoyed and I felt bad for holding up my cousins but I didn't want to push the issue (again, little kids...adult me). Finally, Donald must have saw what was happening and he came up to me, grabbed my hand and pulled me to him. We had a lot of hugs and he gave me a lot of time. It was a really cool moment. I am glad Donald "came to my rescue" but at the same time....those darn parents need to teach their kids respect for us elders! lol

I want to defend some of the scooter/stroller people here. Now, the stroller people (my cousin was one for a few years and yea, she admits to the "I have the stroller, I will push people our of the way" mentality, but that was usually during the periods of park closing when people would just stand around and block everything, can't defend her on that) BUT, there was one time when we were walking to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner and we were feet away when a women (with a map) decides to stop right in the middle of the street. My cousin ran right into her with the stroller. She apologized (even though it was the woman's fault for not paying attention) and all the woman could say was: "THESE PEOPLE AND THESE STROLLERS!!!!" That's a comment quote we like to recite all the time. Anyway, yea, strollers can be a pain in the foot if you decide to stop in the middle of a crowded street with no signal.

Another incident I witnessed was a scooter woman. I am not getting into an argument about who needs one and doesn't, not my place. But I felt really bad for one woman. I was in the Splash Mountain area and it was so crowded, as it usually is, and there was a woman in a scooter trying to get out to open area. There were 2 teenage kids and they were cutting through the crowd. I watched them dart in front of this woman and she couldn't stop the scooter in time, ran right into the girl. The face on this girl when she turned around to this woman was shocking. She yelled at the woman for 'running her over' and then walked off with the boy friend. Now, I don't know about you but I don't think it is good common sense to dart in front of someone, cutting them off, when they are in a mechanized machine. To this day, I feel bad I didn't go over to the woman to make sure she was ok; she looked really flustered.

I think it comes down to people needing to pay attention, whether you are in a scooter or on foot.

Last year I went with my mom and my sister's family. My mom needs a scooter and we watched people cutting in front of her all the time, I was amazed she didn't hit anyone. The one thing that bugged me was my sisters family using her as a traveling suitcase though, her 8yo always wanted to sit on my mom and ride along and they packed that thing with so much stuff, her kids are 8,14, and 17, I think they can carry their own stuff.

HAHA, I know what you mean. My cousin kept that stroller as long as she could because we loved using it to carry stuff when her daughter wasn't using it. The final year of the stroller, we were dreading all the stuff we were going to have to carry in the future. We survived though. Disney should invest in shopping carts for the parks...;)
