To give you an example, for an adult of a 7 night stay, Silver (with 14 total wishes) would cost you ~$476 ($68), a child $385 ($55).
So a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) would run you $1722. That's $246 a night on food/tours/etc. OR $61.50 a person. Will you spend $62 a day on food/tours/etc. From the sound of you previous posts, it doesn't sound like it.
The wishes really make almost no sense if you have kids. You just won't be ever spending that much (well most people at least) on kids to make up for the cost of the wish. It's just cheaper to use cash in these cases.
Anyone who is thinking of using the extra plans should "run the numbers" before comminting to them. They cost you a heck of a lot of money if you don't use them to the fullest capabilities.
This is what we are spening ours on:
- Coral Reef (2) - Save $1
- Boma (1) - Lose $5
- Mama Melrose (1) - Save $5
- Gardens of the World (1) - Save $25
- Flying Fish (2) - Save $20
- UnDiscovered Futureworld (1) - Save $15
- Liberty Tree Tavern (1) - Lose $7
- Marrakech (1) - Save $2
- Cirque Du Soleil (2) - Save $8
- Yachtsman Steakhouse (2) Save $16
So I save $80 over what I would have paid cash all together. Not too bad, but you'll notice it was the tours that really did it for me. Without them it's only half that amount. And I looked over the menus just now and picked what I would most likely would buy to get my $. So this is a pretty good number.
Now my wife may not eat as much (or as expensive) so she could end up with less savings, or even in a loss, canceling out any saving I may have made.
So in all, this is why I say you break even on most occations. But it is very nice to use them.
Man...now I'm hungry... :slurp:
