I've been fortunate to see 2 launches on my three visits to Florida. The first was way back in April '94, the day after we landed. We were watching it on the news in the hotel bedroom - when I stood outside there it was.........live !!! Wow, what a sight - the daybreak / sunrise and a shuttle.
The second was April '01 - we were in the middle of the Backlot Tour at MGM, waiting for the trams to Catastrophe Canyon when everything came to a stand still for 5 minutes as guests and CMs stood and watched.
There was a lift off planned for this April while we're there - however the schedules have been changed so that theres one in March and one in May
