star wars/marvel park with more aggressive rides, roller coasters, and theming for an older demographic.
I love Star Wars and Marvel but I'd never go to that park. I like that Disney isn't considered "cool" because I can enjoy my time there with other people who aren't worried about what's "cool." I'd love the park you described when empty but it would instantly become a teen hangout.

Oh, you don't want to hang out with teens? We're awesome;). No I completely understand. One on one many of us can be great. Get in a group and it's quite...obnoxious. And this is coming from an 18 year old.

IMO I don't think Disney would make Marvel rides because Universal currently has them. In the future if Universal no longer had to pay them for the rights to use the characters, maybe, but even so they might get accused of copying, something I don't think they'd ever want. I'd like to see some more Star Wars stuff in DHS.

I like Disney teens just fine. But the bad apples when places become a hangout are why we can't have nice things.

Doesn't matter because Disney literally can't use Marvel at WDW. This is why the Avengers and Iron Man monorails are only on the MK beam. The Epcot beam crosses INTO the park and that would violate the contract that Marvel made with Universal before Disney bought them. Disney now must honor that agreement. There's more to read on that if you're interested in searching old threads.

Unfortunately that is true. I'm a Disney teen, so you should be okay with me, right? lol. But large groups of teens can become annoying.

I figured there was some legal thing going on there. Contract issue. I'll ask my dad about it; he's a lawyer and follows Disney's operations fairly closely, so he might know more specifics.

Remember the House of Mouse series on Disney Channel? Open up a House of Mouse restaurant is DHS with massive character dining and I shall give you all my money
I thought about that when I was in the "Disney Channel" age. I used to dream up new WDW places and I thought that would be cool. Great minds think alike;). I'd half forgotten about it, though until you mentioned it.

Tim is 100% right here. Our licensing agreement with Universal for the Marvel characters keeps a Marvel wrapped monorail from crossing into Epcot.

Somewhere on these forums is a link to the contract itself if you really wanna know.

geez- they could so an ENTIRE park with SW; not only the movies, but animates series. And SW spans generations- it's timeless. So I guess I will say SW as well. BUT I would go back more often if they simply went back to giving the parks the same attention they used to and had a better overall attitude toward the guests- ie not treating them like mindless drones that go to Disney simply because it's Disney :)

I always have to say this for some reason...guess I don't want to be associated with it, lol but I am NOT a prequel fan. But I do know what the prequels are to the fans that grew up with them and the kids today. When I went to my first SWW last May, I thought there would be nothing fore me. I really didn't do research on it because my main goal for going in may was to see Davy Jones. So when I went to check out The Studios it was everything a fan could want plus more. I fell in love with the atmosphere and the over all excitement of the place.

With saying that, That made me trust Disney to know that they could be equal prequels and equal originals without squashing on someone else. So yea, they should make a full SW park incorporating both franchises.

If they did say....7 themed lands in the format of Magic Kingdom, they could split it up planet wise...though I would give the extra planet to the originals :p. I would do:

Naboo: Thebes is amazingly beautiful...a sit down restaurant, meey and greets with guards/Queen Amidala and maybe...MAYBE some sort of Gungan/Bongo (did I remember that term right?) underwater ride? Oh, and the girls need a make up place, right? What about the royal treatment with some Amidala/Leia make up sessions here, lol.

Coruscant: Don't know how that would physically map out but I could see a full fledged Jedi Temple complete with full on Jedi Academy. This would give the Academy more time slots for shows, it could be inside for the hot days, and wouldn't block pathways. The "Build your own lightsaber" would be here as well, only I would make it a large room with many styles to choose from. the one in the Tatooine traders is too small. I have never been able to go look at it. And anything else a Jedi would need to do at the temple could be here. I could also see a diner like quick service in the theme of the one they had in AotC. The hyperspace Hoopla could be here as well. I see Coruscant possibly being the 'nightlife' area of the park. I don't see it being the center/entrance of the park, just the place to go to party when it gets dark, lol

Let's see, what else is in my head...

Tattooine is a must. As much as I hate pod racing, some sort of pod racing ride/amusement would be here. I am actually thinking a roller coaster and the ride vehicles would be small versions of the racers. The Cantina, of course, complete with Figrin Dan. I think quick service would be best because it allows more freedom to walk around at your pace. The droid factory designs like Watto's junk shop maybe? And something with Jabba's Palace would be cool too. Meet and greets could be Luke since they often show him in his Tattooine clothing, C3PO & R2, Boba Fett, Figrin Dan, and other characters from this place.

Oops, this post is crazy long. I guess you can tell I love Star Wars, lol What do you guys think? What other 'land/planets' could be here and what would you like to see in them? Oh! and let me be the first to say this: if this does happen, to fit with the futuristic theme, this park needs Monorail transportation! lol

On the other notes: I have never had an issue with the teens. If there is enough do to, they will be spread out and not such a bother. The places I see them the most is Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller coaster. and that's because that is the only 2 'real' cool spots for teens and that space is small and congested. If Star Wars park was the place to be, there should hopefully be more spots for them and therefore not all in one place. That's my theory anyway. I actually find the 40-50 something adults more annoying than the teens. and I am 30, lol And you know what? if they are being a bother, we would have free walking Storm Troopers about to keep order and tell them to "move along";)

I also love the Muppets and if they had some sort of Pepe attraction, you bet your Bantha I would also be there with bells on, lol

A Star Wars land would not make me visit WDW any more than I do now. If anything, the park would start to remind me of Universal, which is a conglomeration of entertainment icons, some actually originating from Universal Studios and some not, combined into a park. And if THAT'S what I look for in a theme park...then I'd rather go to Universal.

I go to Disney Parks to see DISNEY-created stuff, especially those things created during Disney's Golden Age. I like the new Star Tours, but it sure as heck isn't the reason I keep going back to WDW.

What would make me more excited to visit WDW is if TDO built Fire Mountain, or Beastly Kingdomme, or a cool new Toontown, or a ride/attraction focused on the Disney Villains. I'd throw my money at those any day.

If Hollywood studios looked like this....

Star Wars Galaxy
1. Echo Lake changed to Yodas Swamp
2. Indiana Jones changed to a Star Wars themed stunt show
3. Backlot Express restaurant Star Wars decor.
4. Star Tours (keep it as is)
5. Change American Idol Experience to a Star Wars Dark ride (themed towards rebel alliance)
6. Change the ABC sound Studio to a Star Wars Dark Ride (themed towards the dark side of the force)
7. Add an Ewok Village Play Area across from Star Tours
8. Keep Sci-Fi drive in. Just show old Star Wars previews, commercials, interviews and clips.
9. Change Commissary to Cantina in Episode 4.
Also throughout the "galaxy" have meet and greets and photo ops like the speeder to sit on.

Muppet Showcase
1. Muppet Vision. It's good but update it
2. Pizza Planet to Swedish Chefs restaurant
3. Add the great Muppet Movie Ride
4. Large Muppet gift shop
5. Have a Muppets laboratory walk through

Pixar Place
1. Move monsters inc laugh floor to HS
2. Add monsters inc door ride
3. Add Cars Land
4. Add Ratatouille ride
5. Keep Midway Mania
6. Turn legend of Jack sparrow building to an Incredibles dark ride
7. Animation courtyard to Pixar themed shows and Pixar character meet and greets.
8. Do a real pizza planet

The Blvd's (Hollywood and Sunset)
1. Remove the hat. Replace it with big"Hollywood" sign where you could see the Chinese Theatre
2. Update the Great Movie Ride to make it relevant
3. Keep Sunset Blvd the same. Brown Derby and starring rolls are perfection
4. Make Hollywood and vine, 50's cafe, etc better quality
5. Replace Beauty and the Beast with a show that pertains to something in the park
6. Keep Fantasmic
7. Keep Tower of Terror
8. Re theme Aerosmith. I love them. One of my favorite bands of all time. Just an odd fit. I would love to take Walt and incorporate him. Instead of a recording studio there's Walt at his desk sketching. He turns to us and tells us about his new idea for a theme park. With a little magic he whisks us away to Disneyland.

Obviously a pipe dream but this would seriously be my dream park

Basically, and I 100% agree with you, they need to update Hollywood Studios. I love it and it is my 2nd favorite park. Especially with the whole Star Wars stuff there. And yea, I hate that Pizza Planet is nowhere near Pixar place. I got 'lost' and had to walk down that horrid Pixar blvd trying to get to my family in Pizza planet. I ended up giving up and sat down somewhere less congested. I guess I should have looked at a map since I never eat there...but really!? lol

Muppets definitely needs some love an attention

I would also like them to incorporate more 'movie making' things to the studio. That or re-name it to just something just film related.

1. I love the drawing studio. But it's a little small for the fan base it picked up.
2.They should also maybe design a class on how they do the CGI animation since that is the current thing. Not really my thing, but it is the 'future in animation' so why not.
3.I also thought some sort of movie making experience would be cool. Something similar to what they have in the backlot tour with the Pearl Harbor set. Only large enough to allow more people to have a chance to do it.

That could all possibly be by streets of America since they already have the stunt show and backlot tour there and it would fit.

I LOVE the studios but you can just tell it is a mish mosh of ideas and nothing really organized and it is getting worse as random stuff gets thrown in the mix.

No. Make it "Lucasfilm".
1. Keep Echo Lake (because Minn and Bill's Dockside and Dinosaur Gertie's are far too iconic to scrap)
2. Remove Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular for an Indiana Jones thrill ride. (preferably an indoor/outdoor Water Coaster where the ride vehicles are duck boats like in Crystal Skull)
3. Re-theme 50s Prime Time Cafe to the diner from Crystal Skull. Re-theme the backlot restaurant between Indy and Star Tours to the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Then turn New York Street into Toontown. The REAL Toontown from Roger Rabbit.

Mr. Toad will be there for Meet and Greets.

Tear down Lights Motors Action and build Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and also build a new Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Get rid of the Muppets entirely.
