Shut out from an ADR

Got free ddp with the UK offer booking with Virgin holidays so I got 21 days of free ddp at Port Orleans French Quarter, booked orginally with PC but decided after going there and doing much overtime to swap to POFQ this time.

How were you able to book an AP rate this early for the months of August or September? I've not see anything yet. We are waiting to book to see if they do end up offering AP rates for then. I know last year it was July before they announce rates for August and September.

We had to wait for the free dining plan offer to end.

We went to Coral Reef last September as walk in. Waited maybe 10 minutes and there were only about 10 tables with diners in the whole place.

Last year I made 2 ADR's for our 9/7 - 9/17 trip. We never got turned away from any where. I think the longest we waited at any place was 20 minutes.

I would not plan on that happening again this year. Even before the free DDP was announced ADR's were hard to get. Also, the restaurants have been getting busier and busier.
