I have come into this dilema, currently I have 2 character dining reservations for 5 people and now have 1 more person will be joining us. Has anyone shown up with an addition person for the set reservation. I was wondering if the restaurant would accomdate this situation. Thanx all.

I've had this happen on occasion (1 or 2 more or 1 or 2 less people), and it hasn't been a problem. I think unless you are increasing to a size that would require a large table of unusual size, it would be OK.

Usually adding one more person isn't that big of an issue if you are turning an odd number in to an even one. Like turning 3 to 4 or 5 to 6 isn't bad since you usually get a table that is made for that many people. When you try to add a person to a 2 to make 3 you are now eliminating the use of a two person table. I think that you should be fine if you are just adding one more to make six.

I wanted to see if anyone had experienced this because I tried to call to add to one of the reservation and the woman got stupid with me saying that we are already reserved for a table that seats only five. Never heard of such a thing a table for just 5. I guess disney uses special tables.

In my experience, it is much easier to show up with less people than you have reserved than more.

I would personally try to add them to your dining reservation, or you may find yourself waiting quite a while.

I have yet to make dining reservations so I am in no way and expert on this.

But if it were me, I would try to call and see if they can change it to the number you will now have. Or even see if they can at least let the restaurant know in advance so it is not a surprise.
Otherwise you are going to feel like a huge jerk all week walking into each restaurant and saying "Sorry I know my reservation is for five but I have six. I hope that's not a problem."

At least I would feel bad and uncomfortable. I absolutely hate putting people out, even if they are there to serve me.

When my cousins came to visit me during my CP, I joined them at more than one TS restaurant, and it was not a problem to add me to the party. All of their reservations were made for 4, and they asked if they could add me to it. They had no problems and you shouldn't either, especially since your addition makes the party an even number.
P.S. During my time working for Disney (and I worked at a TS restaurant), the tables that we put parties of five at were set for six. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
