No ride or attraction being closed would make us cancel. Covid would

Have to say, our first post covid trip back were pre fireworks shows, and that was a bit “off.”

Still had great trips.

I remember the old days, when the only way to find out which Disneyland rides were closed was to run up to the ticket booths and check out the sign. It was just devastating to find that one of your favorites like Pirates or the HM was closed for refurb! At least now we have the internets to tell us way ahead of time what would be closed.

Eh still haven't ridden the train due to it being down for eternity. DH wants to wait for 1900 Park Fare to reopen. Looking at summer 2023 since we've already waited this long (last visit summer 2019), might as well have better chances of multiple new attractions since our last visit.

No, but back when there was FP+, I would rearrange the days I planned to be at each park based on what I was able to get (or not get). I remember completely rearranging my schedule for a Flight of Passage FP one year. This year, if FP+ were still available, I probably would do the same for Rise of the Resistance.

The only single attraction that might cause me to reschedule a whole trip would be Haunted Mansion. Ain't Disney without that.

If the Spaceship Earth extended downtime finally happens and really lasts for over a year, I will be sad to miss it, but will still go during that period. Worth the wait if they actually refurbish it properly, make minimal and well-judged changes (fingers crossed) and remove the screens.

They always leave 2 out of the 3 Mountains functioning, which is sufficient...I don't need to hit the trifecta every visit.

If Flight of Passage were unavailable, I might do a 3-day trip and skip AK (but I might still go anyway). Likewise with Rise at Studios. But as others have said, there's no way I'm ever going to be in Orlando and not parkhop over to Epcot for World Showcase.

I will say this, I had originally had our trip for this summer planned for early June (right after HS graduation of DS) but DH insisted on postponing until later in the summer to be sure we would catch GotG opening and possibly being able to ride (this was prior to knowing when the opening date was). So for him, we had to totally reschedule the trip! But I kinda get it. Last family trip we had was in 2018; we missed the opening of Toy Story Land by 2 days!!! That was rough!

There are rides that I would definitely be sad about if they are closed during our trips. Pirates, HM, Jungle Cruise, SSE come to mind. I dont think any one of those being closed would stop us from going. Maybe if multiple ones were closed then we would consider rescheduling.
