Should we...

So, the wife and I have been discussing a late winter/early spring trip, and we are trying to decide between 2 options.

Option 1: A 7 day Caribbean cruise on the Disney Fantasy, this would include 2 nights at Universal before heading to Port Canaveral

Option 2: A trip to the Los Angeles area, and going to Disneyland for 3ish days, probably attending during dapper day.

We have never been to DL or done a cruise (disney or otherwise). Background, married, early 30's, no children.

Currently leaning cruise, but we keep going back and forth.

I have been to Disneyland- it's awesome! We almost like it better.... almost. Less walking (with two parks, and they seem smaller)... But it has a whole different feel to it than Disney World. Still just as amazing, but it is different... Plus, you are a quick drive to LA if there are things you want to see there- I will say, Carsland is unreal... seriously that alone is worth the trip- if you re into the detail of the parks... It's just like walking into the movie...

I would recommend the cruise. We did our first cruise last October and I didn't want to get off the ship.

Disneyland has been on our list, but we've gone Disney cruising once and again this year before even planning a DL trip. There's surprisingly a lot more to it than just relaxing on deck or on a beach. Eating, seminars, shows, food, drinks, island exploring, more eating, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, oh and more eating!

As Belle said, eating is a MAJOR component of a Disney cruise. My daughter took a picture of the mountain of shrimp on my plate for proof. And that was just lunch!

Good that you are thinking of the longer cruise, since there is so much to do on the ship.

Have you been on a cruise before?

No, neither of us have ever been on a cruise.
Hmm..I would vote Disneyland. I'm not opposed to cruises, but I would want to try a shorter cruise first. Some people like it, some don't.

We're kind of in the same boat. Been to WDW the past 4 years in a row, so this year we're either doing vegas/disneyland or find some deal to europe. Deciding factor will depend on how much money we have though..lol
