Should we have an official HHN24 thread to share the news?

Alien vs Predator house officially announced.

Thanks so very much for that, it looks like it could be really good. Mrs M loves both films so I'm already guessing this could be her favourite. I've also added this following video to the first post to try to make it easier for people to keep updated.

Usually not too bad--especially this year with the very early start. Media comes on Friday, so Saturday is just the hard-core HHN fans. If there's a downside, none of them are interested in rides, it's strictly houses and Finnegans. QUOTE]

new post from "PIXIE" -
I am a newbie - what is a "Finnegan"?? I am such a big chicken - I LOVE watching the 'how they make it' shows with the different 'scares' and props. But I would wet myself if i ever actually went.

BTW, "Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood" was announced today, based on the movie coming out in October.

Thanks for that

Universal will be "staking" a new take on the classics come Halloween. 'Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood' is the latest haunted house reveal for its upcoming Halloween Horror Nights event (Sept. 19 – Nov. 1). Fans will be able to get a bi-coastal vampire fix; both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood will be showcasing mazes inspired by Universal Pictures' upcoming epic, "Dracula Untold," which arrives in theaters on Oct. 17.

Horror Nights, the nation's largest Halloween event, continues to expand. Now in its 24th year, 'Dracula Untold' joins huge horror franchises including AMC's 'The Walking Dead,' 'The Purge: Anarchy' and 'Alien vs. Predator' as prime draws for 2014.

The film, starring Luke Evans ('The Hobbit,' 'Clash of the Titans'), taps into the Dracula legend, delving into the life of 13th century ruler Vlad Tepes, the inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula.' Infamous for skewering his enemies alive, Tepes was known as "Vlad the Impaler." Such imagery is likely to figure prominently.

Michael Aiello, Director of Entertainment – Creative Development for Universal Orlando Resort, is a fan of classic Universal monsters and looks forward to showcasing new facets of vampire lore. He promises guests "pulse-pounding moments" at this year's event, and is certain fans of the film will be thrilled.

John Murdy, Creative Director at Universal Studios Hollywood, claims the Dracula maze will reveal the monster's origin, bringing to life much more of the story than is commonly associated with the monster. When describing the maze, he uses the words "atrocities" and promises a frightening, immersive experience. Those who queue up for the maze before the film's release, teases Aiello, will get "an unprecedented living preview" of the horrors they'll enjoy in the theater.

Will add the video to the OP when released.

Call me crazy, but my candidate for sleeper house of the year. In a soundstage, so effects/sets should be top-notch, and if they capture just some of the visual flair in the trailer, could be awesome.

Read on another site they're expecting some decent gothic sets and impaled scareactors a plenty.

Well here's to hoping the movie contains some unexpected inspiration, because it doesn't even look like a horror movie based on the trailer. It feels like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

We are hosting a Orlando United / Twitter HHN Meet Up with Youtubers The Trackers for those who are ages 18 and older on September 20th. More details to come, and hopefully many will be able to attend.

We're there on Saturday the 20th September. I'm a bit confused about who is meeting up though sorry? When you say 'The Trackers' do you mean Tim and Jen who post those vlogs each day or is this something different?

Edit: I'm now wondering if their surname is 'Tracker' as their channel is called 'The Tim Tracker'. Always assumed it just meant a way of tracking what Tim was doing?
