Should I Fax Room Request ??

I have already called CRO and added a room location request to my reservation.

Should I go ahead and fax it to the room assigner 4 days out? Is it really necessary?

Thanks !!!

I agree. It will not hurt to send a fax to the CRO, but in most cases it won't help either. If you have a specific medical problem that requires a special room, then your fax will get some attention. Also, if you are a regular resort guest (4 or more times a year) then you have a better chance of getting the room you desire.

You don't fax the CRO. You fax the room assigner at the resort where you'll be staying. If you fax it four days out, they should be reading it around the same time that they're assigning your room. There's some great information at WDWIG on this page.

faxing room

This is a good idea and can really help depending on where you stay, how often you stay and what your fax says how you word it and why you need it an actual reason for needing a certain room helps
Good Luck

I read on here a couple months ago to call the day before you will arrive and talk to the room planner. Someone said that they don't assign until a day before. Anyway, I called down there a day before and just asked for a specific building at the CBR and to be on the first floor. When we checked in we got the building we had asked for. If you have a good calling plan on your cell phone or land line or even a calling card you might want to call instead of fax.

At the risk of repeating myself a FAX will in most cases will do no good unless you have a specific medical problem or you are a regular (preferred) guest. The information provided at WDWIG is nice, but generally does not help. The room assigners and the CRO are only sensitive to a few requests. Medical concerns go to the top of the list. Big spenders (i.e. multiple stays) are second on the list. Every other request may or may not be met as conditions dictate.

Yeah, we probably go where we wanted to be becuase we had a semi-medical request. Someone in our group sometimes needs a cane to get around.

This is a perfect example of a legitimate medical request.

Would the fact that we need adjoining rooms at AS Movies because there are three kids in our party that are mine, and we want to keep them together, be a good reason to fax a request? There are two adults per room. I requested adjoining rooms on the phone.

Hey Momx3, we stayed at movies last year and we were flying in late in the evening with our 2 kids, and 3 kids that are nephews & a niece. I called Movies directly the morning of our arrival date and explained that we would need adjoining rooms as my sister wasn't going to be w/her kids for the first few days, and we wanted the adults to be close enough to open a door and see the kids if one adult was out. We had no problems and we went during a fairly busy time I would say.. memorial day week thru gaydays week. They put us in Dalmation Bldg. #1 and the kids loved it, next time we are keeping our fingers crossed for Toy Story.
