Should I do mnsshp on Friday or Monday

Have tix to 10/8 which is a Monday but also Columbus Day or do I switch to a Friday oct 5th? Which do you think will have less crowds? Thanks

Our experiences have been Fri. parties are the busiest and sometimes much busier than any other night. We have found mid week nights (mon, tue, thu) are usually much less busy.

I think you should be OK for the Monday even though it is a holiday. The party is busiest on Friday nights with the locals going to those. Plus not everyone gets off Columbus day and the next day is a work day. I don't think that you would be able to switch since they are non refundable and non transferable. I think you are pretty much stuck with what you buy. I would keep the Monday anyway.

You can. As long as there are tickets available they’ll do it for you.

Even though Columbus Day is a holiday, it is what I would call a "minor" holiday. Most private businesses do not have that day off work. And for those that do, as has been pointed out, the next day is a work day so many people wouldn't want to be out late.

I would view that just like any other Monday for planning purposes. Given that, I would expect Friday's party to be far busier than Monday's. I'd recommend sticking with the tickets you have.

Had your ticket been for the Sunday before Columbus Day, that might be problematic. But Columbus Day itself? Keep it.

Our experience a few years back. We had tickets to MNSSHP and also wanted to get tickets to a Villians dessert party. The night we had tickets for the dessert party was already sold out. We could not change our tickets to another night. We ended up buying a second set of ticket for MNSSHP and the tickets to Villains party. So that year we went twice to MNSSHP. Picture of Maleficent at Dessert party. Was worth it. This was 2014.

The year we went on Columbus Day the party was sold out, so quite crowded, I think because of fall break vacations. It is impossible to tell so far in advance what nights will sell out, what nights will end up more crowded because of weather reschedules, or what the weather will be like on the night you choose.

Once we were able to switch our tickets to another night at guest services before entering the MK, but we had special circumstances.
We had dinner at the Poly before the party, when we finished we found that the monorail was down, everyone was then trying to catch the bus to the MK. Well, we spent over an hour on the bus just to get from the Poly to the MK. Very frustrating and claustrophobic! We arrived at the MK after 8pm and after telling my story guest services was kind enough to move our tickets to the next night.
