Should Each MK Land Have its Own Sign?

Just thinking about the layout of MK and its various lands, why is it that very few of them actually have their own signs? Tomorrowland has that big piece over the bridge, Adventureland has its own good sized sign.......but what about Frontierland, Fantasyland, Main Street USA, and Liberty Square? They either seem to have nothing or something so small and insignificant that it's very easily overlooked.

I like that its subtle. I think too much "you are here" signage takes away from the feel of the land. I don't need to be told that I'm on "Main Street, USA," but I sure feel it. It's like much of the best literature: author's don't have to deliberately tell the reader where they are or what to feel (think of why Hemingway was great...he allowed the readers to fill in the blanks with little words stated). Good writers write in such a way to create that suspense, to build the scenery. That's what makes Disney so great -- it doesn't necessarily have to tell us things, instead we are free to create, to feel and to fill in the blanks; therefore, making the experience more real and genuine.

Exactly how I feel. I especially feel that the transition of the music happens flawlessly and really just makes me believe I am where I am.

I donk think larger signs are needed. Theres enough of a change to the themed lands that you can tell that you've entered into a different area. I think its apparent enough that even a newbie doesnt need something more distinctive... but I've been enough times I dont even think about it... I just know I'm crossing over the border into another land.

I'm ambivalent regarding this issue. I don't require signs for each Land, yet I would not object if signs were installed as long as they served a decorative purpose and did not present an unsightly distraction.

i don't think signs are explicitly needed and most transitions do feature prominent theming to let you know. i know tommrowland and adventure land have entryways from hub directly those are sort of signs?

I kinda of like the fact that the lands sort of blend in or "magically transform" into the next land it is becoming rather than having this giant sign saying "Oh, by the way.. This is frontierland!"

Don't get me wrong or anything, but I do think it's only needed for Tomorrowland and Adventureland from Main Street USA simply because there really isn't that smooth transition between, say.. Liberty Square and Frontierland. Like, it's done very well. No signs needed.

It is well defined signs in DL. You mean nice big signs like at AK? That could be nice...i'll have to pay attention next time.

Liberty Square has this understated sign just before you cross the bride from the Hub:

And then Frontierland has this sign at the border as you walk from Liberty Square:

Large, overhead archway signs (like the ones into Adventureland and Tomorrowland) would be virtually impossible along the entranced to Liberty Square and Frontierland, since both of those are on the parade route.

If FoF is too tall for the Mickey Christmas wreaths, then it's definitely too tall for land signs.

I agree with others that Liberty Square and Frontierland meld into each other so nicely anyway, that a sign would just be distracting.
