I always thought this would be a fantastic idea! It will make the parks way more family friendly. Cause don't you hate when you walk into a land it smells amazing but then all of a sudden it smells like, smoke! GROSS. I think that Disney should defiantly do this! What do you think?

Yes, because that exactly what Disney needs, more cranky guests.

honestly, while i'm no smoker, I can imagine it would be hard fro someone who relies on it to go a full day and into the night without it. Its not like its a show, sporting event or even dinner where it will only be a short while, this is a whole day.

Not sure where thew smoking areas are (again, I don't need them so i don't realize it) but they can prob put them in better hidden areas maybe with fans or air purifiers if it really is that bad.

That's why they have designated areas for smokers. If you're intentionally walking over to those areas only to complain about the smoke that's on you.

I don't think that the government nor Disney should try to legislate morality or peoples lives.

But you end up passing them anyway. You could make a path around them, but I don't look for smoking sections on the map when I'm trying to get somewhere. The one in Future World West is particularly annoying.

Not sure that's Disney's problem...

I find the adventurland smoking area pretty bad, it's a bit too close to the main walkway for me.
I wish people didn't smoke at all (for themselves not for me) but they do and I don't think it would be fair for Disney to alienate a segment of the population with an outright ban. I think the designated areas are a good compromise. I see very few people these days smoking outside the areas, I think the system in place works no need to mess with it.

But on that note, this topic has been addressed before and can elicit hostile responses from both camps and causes bad blood. I'm going to close the thread, at least for now. Maybe I'll reopen it tomorrow when I can keep a closer eye on it ;)
