Trip Report Shortest Retirement in History?

Justin Bieber lasted 2 weeks.

Tom Brady lasted 40 days.

I, Tuvalu, outlasted them both. Not by much, mind you. Yet if not for the encouragement of some forum friends - along with some unusual circumstances - you wouldn’t be reading this.

Unusual circumstances, you say?

Around Thanksgiving my beloved Woody learned his presence was required at a work conference. In Orlando. At Universal.
Just down the road from Walt Disney World.

Woody said I could accompany him if he drove (rather than flew) to Florida. And that we could leave a couple days early and have some Disney time together.

Well you don’t have to ask me twice!

I’d be on my own during the conference. Since the majority of Universal’s attractions don’t appeal to me, it didn’t make sense for me to buy Uni tickets when I could visit WDW for free with my AP. Being solo, I thought it might be fun to do a live trip report so y’all could be my virtual companions!

Turns out I won’t be alone while Woody is occupied after all. Some friends that you have seen in my previous TRs (and one you haven’t) have offered to play with me. I can’t wait!

@TrolleyFollower91 , as others have mentioned, your new hairstyle looks great! (That took a leap of faith on your part, to give full rein to the hairdresser, to create a new style for you.) Many years ago, I let a stylist "create" a new look for me, but I ended up looking like a squirrel ! :hilarious: Never again! :p
Thank you!! My stylist and I have been friends since middle school, so I trusted her! 🤣 No squirrels for me!

Preamble - Splash Mountain was a great attraction. Whether or not we agree with the decision to close it is irrelevant. Splash remains a fond memory like other attractions which no longer exist.

I was patient , biding my time , waiting for my chance and I knew this day would come….

For the record Splash mountain is not an attraction that no longer exists

All you need is a plane ticket and a passport to go to Tokyo Disneyland!!

And that same passport would allow you to visit your friend in Canada too!!

Preamble - Splash Mountain was a great attraction. Whether or not we agree with the decision to close it is irrelevant. Splash remains a fond memory like other attractions which no longer exist at WDW. Our goal was to be completely neutral on our first Tiana ride, making no comparisons with Splash because what’s the point? Splash is not coming back to WDW.

I went to a new stylist once when my usual was unavailable. I said a haircut to frame my face, no layers because I have really thin hair, and a pic to show my young self hair color (dark brown which had turned reddish with age). It was all going fine until we started talking and we discovered that my cousin had slept with her boyfriend while they were together and she took it out on my hair. I left that salon looking like a hungover Professor Snape with stringy hair with all the products she used to hid the butchering. After I got home and washed it, I had a 90 degree cutout next to my chin. I had to get an emergency repair with my normal stylist when she got back to town and she had to cut my hair below my ears to get it mostly fixed. It was awful!!

I wish I’d thought to check on the days we snagged boarding groups; would’ve been really cool to see.
You can go back and check! (I copied each page from July 9 - scroll forward to the day you rode the attraction.)
