I would choose between Trex and Rainforest. Almost the same place really. T rex is newer, louder, but kinda cool for a one time deal. We have also not been a fan of Crystal Palace in the past. We usually pick a different character dinner or breakfast over this one. Chef Mickey's is a must do once place. It is fun and upbeat but the food isn't great.

liberty tree - best lunch along with the Plaza on Main Street in MK as far as sit down. They were wonderful to us on our honeymoon.

coral reef - I go every few trips - depends what is on the menu but the atmosphere is great. They ran out of an appetizer when I went and instead of simply ordering a different appetizer, we did, but they insisted on complimentary lobster bisques. This place is a class act.

rose and crown - great food. I like lunch. Killer burgers and great potato leek soup.

50's - it is the ultimate in disney dining themes and again, it depends what you order. I've had good, great, and meh.

1900 park fare - I have done breakfast here for years and I just love the GF period. Totally tied to my childhood, because when we went every year my parents would not stay anywhere else because it was their favorite. I have too many sentimental ties to GF though as an adult I do rotate and stay at different hotels.

todds english blue zoo - We go here for drinks and apps - One year they took forever for one appetizer. I let it go.

scifi diner - I only go for lunch. Many have given rave reviews and not so good. But I have been fortunate to only have good experiences here.

hollywood and vine - No, please no! - Run, don't walk, run from this place and head to 50's. You are not missing much.

Definitely keep BoG! I personally love 50s Prime Time, too. I liked SciFi for the atmosphere, it really was pretty neat, but the food so-so.

IMHO Via Napoli, Rose and Crown and Brown Derby are the top three on your list...keep in mind i haven't made it to BOG or Bluezoo

Be Our Guest - great theming otherwise disappointing
TREX over Rainforest
Coral Reef - skip
Akershus - breakfast is great, lunch and dinner ok
Rose & Crown - fun pub atmosphere, food is ok (not for the picky though)
H&V - Run, avoid at all costs
Garden Grill - fun meal, food is pretty good
Via Napoli - one of my favorites
As for all of the buffets you have listed, they are pretty much all the same, so just depends on what characters you are wanting to meet.

we have shortened the list of disney restaurants we'd like to try, we are there for 14 days and still have too many in the list, if i could have everyones opinions to the restaurants it may be easier to shorten it more or maybe theres one ive not mentioned that you would recommend. i cant eat chesse or spicy food so i have to be really careful.
here is our shortened list :)

be our guest, liberty tree, crystal palace, coral reef, rose and crown, via napoli, restaurant akershus, garden grill, 50's diner, chef mickeys, 1900 park fare, todds english blue zoo, garden grove, t rex, rainforest cafe, tusker house, scifi diner, and either hollywood and vine or hollywood brown derby for the fantasia package.

any comments i would be very grateful. not really looking for breakfast as we would just want cereal.
thank you:):)
Good list, by the way! :)

From our recent experiences, we enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch (good, solid choice- and the ooeey gooey toffee cake is a must try!), Crystal Palace lunch (good, varied selection on the buffet), Akershus dinner (excellent food. I had the braised short ribs which was so tender that I could cut with a fork, and my DH had a beautiful rack of lamb), Garden Grill (terrific food and interesting setting- one of our favourites of the trip), 50s Prime Time Cafe (great food, and a fun atmosphere), Sci-Fi Dine In Theater (not the most spectacular food, but definitely worth doing for the whole experience).
I have to agree with the majority and say AVOID Hollywood & Vine. We did breakfast there (and I'm glad I did it once so my DS could meet the Disney Junior characters), and the food is awful. It was cold, congealed, and pretty much inedible. The three of us ended up just having a couple of Mickey waffles & some fruit. Had we not had the free dining plan, they would have been some seriously expensive waffles! I'm sorry to say it about a WDW restaurant, but it lived up to the nickname 'Hollywood and Vile'.
