Hi guys,

Ok after reading that people havent been able to take on board snowglobes etc i am a bit reluctant to pack mine in my suitcase. Do disney ship items from their stores in WDW to the UK and if so what sort of price do they charge? It seems that for US residents they dont charge or the charge is very low - any idea on what it would cost to have a large snowglobe for example shipped to the UK?

Any help on this would be really appreciated,

not cheap i would guess somewhere around 30-50 dollars and what out the tax man might get you as the costs some times comes up and they ask for tax on that as well
i bring mine to the airport and pay the extra costs on the plane home there and then i have done this over 10 times with no problem at all.
i should not see any problem with doing this just make sure you have it in its full plastic case with lots of packing around it.

We have previously taken expensive or fragile items on board the aircraft as hand luggage on past trips.

This time, due to excessive gift expeniture - many items had to go in suitcases.

Ask Disney staff for boxes and plenty of packaging - they are usually only too happy to help when you explain the reasons. All items have arrived back in the UK in one piece and that includes china and glass ware.

We`ve packed glassware into cases in the past with no problems; as HOOK said have it well packed in the park. We also ensure the items are surrounded by clothing in the case and there`s no hard objects packed near them. I`ve also be known to shove socks into cups or similar items for extra protection!

I've always recommended US Postal Service Global Priority Mail as the best deal in international shipping. They do have size restrictions, but their prices and service tends undercut any other service available.
