Shipping Item to my Disney Hotel?

My wife and I are staying at CBR the last week of June. We're then renting a car to drive down to visit family around Fort Lauderdale. We need to get car seats for our kids and are thinking of purchasing them online and then just having them shipped to the hotel if it's possible. Has anyone ever tried to ship something to their Disney hotel?

The alternative is driving to a babies 'r us, target, or walmart once I pick up the rental car. I'd rather save the hassle of driving around shopping for car seats so we can enjoy our last day in the parks.

I have rented cars/vans in the past and the car rental place usually charges $20-$25 per car seat rental. This sounds like it would be a much cheaper and easier option. Contact the rental place ahead of time to make the arrangements. Hope that helps.

Hey there... To answer your question, yes this past trip in Oct. I actually shipped 2 packages down, about 10 days in advance. I had no issues at all, just check in, tell them there are packages there waiting for you and they bring them out.

Word of advice, call CBR ahead of time and ask them for THEIR specific address. Apparently there is a generic address used for mail at Disney, everything gets delivered there then sorted, then distributed out to the resorts..could take longer. I called ASMU, got their specific address, and went with UPS.

I would agree with the above poster though, look into renting the seats from the car rental place.. much easier and cheaper.

If you are a AAA member and rent from Hertz, you get free car seats. Are you renting from the airport or from the Car Care Center? If you are renting from the airport, how will you get your children to the hotel from the airport?

The reason we're purchasing car seats is because my parents just bought a place in southern Florida and we plan on going down a few times a year. It just makes more sense to me to purchase vs. rent every time I go down.

Why not just purchase them at home and check them at the airport. There's no charge to check a car seat, at least not yet.

If you are going to keep using them, you might want to check out a service like owner's locker. They will store items that you use on every trip. They will deliver them to your Disney hotel when you arrive.
